I recently bought my first bass with a relic finish, a Sandberg Oliver Reidel. It got me thinking, when making that all-important first impression would you bring something that's worn and beat up looking? I realize that the gig and the degree of relicing are factors. Here's what mine looks like. I think I would take something cleaner looking.
