I was reading a thread in Thunderbirds and realize there are a few basses I’ve never tried simply because I think they look awful: Thunderbirds, Ricks and Hofners.

I’ve heard them on recordings (at least the Rick and Hofner), but TBH, I have no idea how all three basses sound. For all I know, they could be my sound… (someone needs to make a Jazz with Thunderbird and Rick pickups)!

Have looks ever deterred you from trying a bass model?
