Hey all,

I play in a death metal band and we have new songs that are in drop E0. The guitarist tunes to EBEADG.

I drop tuned my 6 string bass to that tuning during our last practice out of curiosity. I loved the low/punchy bass tone that came out but obviously since my bass wasn’t built for that tuning, the strings flopped big time. I tried using an octave pedal at first but sounded way too muddy.

For anyone who plays in this tuning, what would the best string gauge be for this insane...
