So I am in the market for a new bass pretty soon. I am looking to spend around 1500, and I have narrowed it down to Sadowsky Metroline 5, Warwick 5, MTD Kingston 5, or build a Warmoth (probably gecko). Fretted or fretless is going to be my last main criteria that I am still juggling. I am coming from a Squier CV 70's that I hot-rodded. It really plays like a dream for the money lol. Anyway, I am wondering if building a Warmoth will really net me an instrument on par or better than the mass...
