So typically not a big fan of newer Fender US and Mexico stuff (but give me Fender Japan any day!). But wanted to pick up a second Jazz bass, kind of a beater bass. And wanted something with a maple fretboard. Well came across this Player II series Jazz.

Gotta say I am impressed. The build quality is excellent. The fretwork on the neck is perfect and the rolled edges are nice (about time they caught up with Sire!). The neck profile feels exactly like my 1972 Jazz.
