Trying to make a list of the most versatile basses with the most tonal options. So not something like a P bass which is simple and versatile but something that just gives you plethora of tones to play with.

Things on my list so far are

Sire M5/M7: Sire Pre-amp mixed with swtches

G&L 2500: Especially the ones with the 3 way switch.
