I have no idea what way a potentiometer is supposed to be oriented in relation to a diagram. Here's where I'm at. I have my bass wired like the first diagram if the potentiometer shafts are facing AWAY from me. That being said, the blend knob is working so that the middle is silent and it works as a pickup selector rather than a blend, so I realize The tone knob in the diagram, could ONLY have the red on the left if the shift was FACING me.
