I recently picked up a mint EBMM StingRay 5. The strings that were on the bass were kind of dead, so I replaced them with Ernie Ball Super Slinkies, which are what come stock on these basses.

The strings sound great, but the D string sounds a bit weak compared to the others. I didn’t notice any issue before changing strings. I did a fresh set up of the bass, adjusted string heights and pickup height, and the issue persists. Could this be a dud string, or some other issue?
