It’s National Volunteer Week here in Australia - when we come together to celebrate the time generously given and work undertaken by volunteers across the country.
As you may know, the vast majority of the readings you hear on Vision Australia Radio are read by volunteers.
Normally in National Volunteer Week, our teams across the country, in our offices and studios from Perth to Melbourne and beyond, like to get together with their volunteers to say “thank you” and share some cake or maybe even a beer or two.
Unfortunately, this year, 2020, because of the you-know-what, that isn’t going to be possible, so instead, Vision Australia Radio Adelaide’s Co-ordinator of Volunteers Lou Willamson has helped presenter Matthew gather together some of her crack team of presenting and production superstars on an appropriately socially distanced Zoom call.
