Matthew Layton presents Studio 1 – Vision Australia Radio’s weekly look at life in Australia from a low vision and blind point of view.

But Matthew’s decided he doesn’t want to do that this week.

Instead, he’s going to have a chat with one of his friends in the UK.

Fortunately for his employment prospects, Matthew’s friend happens to be Paediatric Eye Clinic Liaison Officer and legally blind international three-day eventer Paula Thomas.

Matthew first met Paula in a professional capacity when his and his wife Maretta's twin daughters were both born with cataracts.

Their conversation covers the tempestuous times through which we are all living, being sent to boarding school at the age of 8 and offensive language.

Matthew also has his regular appointment with the show’s Mental Health and Safety Manager, registered counsellor Tammey Candeloro.
