Ruth...a foreigner, a woman, a widow. She gave up earthly hope for her life to surrender to God and care for her mother-in-law. She teaches a nation about what it's like to be under the wings of God. And it just so happens that God gives her a husband, gives her a son, who is given a son that is the King of Israel. From this line of sons will come God himself - our Redeemer. Ruth...a mother in the line of Jesus.
