There is nothing that you were born with or born without that makes you unworthy.

What do we do in a world where we've built up walls and there is so much separation between humans?

How do we show up each day as our authentic, worthy, loving selves in a world where there seems to be a massive crevice that keeps people apart and creating division?

How do we find the courage to jump into the mysterious unknown and make a difference for the greater good of all?

How do we begin to re-member that we are here to be in community and love one another, while also staying true to who are?

Thank you for tuning in to another episode of Finding Wilder, with Micayla Jean.

Micayla is the author of Wilder Daily - Daily Channeled Messages for the Wilder Ones. She is a writer, writing coach, reiki practitioner, intuitive energy working and lives in a world in which she does her best to come back to silence and stillness as much as possible, in hopes to heal her own heart en route to playing a small role in healing the collective.

Community and connection does not sustain itself by just talking about the weather every day.

Community and connection comes from vulnerable conversations.

To vulnerably connect with the earth, with other humans and our ability to really intentionally communicate, especially with ourselves, is needed more than ever.

Influencing vs Connecting. Can you feel the difference?

What do humans really need right now?

Finding Wilder is who I am and Who I am becoming and Who you are and Who you are becoming, But When I try to become you or you try to become me, we lose track of our own unique essence.

And thus, we continue coming back to our own hearts; we continue Finding Wilder.

We ALWAYS have the opportunity to keep coming back to Finidng Wilder. That's the point. That's the movement. That's the brand.

It shouldn't take so much effort to not hate ourselves

It should not be so terrifying or challenging to love ourselves

"I remember the first time a boy told me I was beautiful" - and here's a bit about Micayla Jean's story learning what her ""self-worth" and "beauty" looked like based on her younger years. How awareness can heal us.

We live in a world that profits on our own self-hate, weaknesses, and need to be better and look better. What happens when we don't abandon compassion, and we find our kind eyes?

In this episode Micayla Jean talks about 5 Uncommon Ways to Bring Peace into a Chaotic World.

What happens when we return to our body and when we come back to the present moment?

It's not our responsibility to change everybody else (we cannot!) - we have to start with ourselves, and see within our own bodies and lives where we are not living in peace. We must begin within our own hearts, and then, in patience and kindness, with an abundance of compassion for each other's unique journeys, we WILL inspire one another.

Micayla Jean is back, baby! This week's show looks into her journey of passionate self-expression, and asks us how we might be missing out on our fullest potential because we are rushing through our days.

Are we being with and nourishing all of us? Do we feel worthy to do so? Who or what might be getting all of our attention, all of our love, awareness and presence?

A lot happens in a year, and Micayla shares a bit about why she stopped recording Finding Wilder for an entire year. Where her voice went. What happened. And what you can expect this season!

Where can you stay a little bit longer?

Is time your friend or an excuse you are leaning into?

Where to begin knowing you are most likely never going to feel ready.

In this episode with Micayla Jean she outs some of her most challenging shadows and what it has meant for her this year to step into her edge a bit more when feeling uncomfortable being seen. She talks about how healing in community has been life-changing and life-giving and the importance of putting ourselves out there in the sun and with other people when we are having tough seasons can truly change the world. Community heals. In a world of so many eyeballs locked in on screens in can be seemingly hard to make friends and find intimate and meaningful community and relationships. In a world of botox, filters and reality TV it can be extremely painful to be with our imperfections when everything our eyes are seeing is seemingly perfection. (It's not). Reminder: everyone has shadows. It's how we become friends with them and how we allow the container of community to hold us in vulnerability and allow ourselves to be seen and see others that can truly change ourselves the world and beyond.

"If we want more peace, we must learn how to cultivate more peace not only within ourselves but within our most intimate relationships." - Micayla Jean

In this episode with Sam Bliss and Adam Wilson we talk about Gift Economy. What if we lived in a world where we were more comfortable giving and receiving gifts as opposed to selling and buying? Both Adam and Sam have not only spent much of their lives researching non market food economy but also living it. In 2020 Adam stopped selling for money as he trust fell into living his life from a place of giving and receiving gifts. Sam and the community of Food Not Bombs in Burlington, VT cook, serve and eat lunch every day for anyone who wants or needs food, no money exchange used. We talk about the difference between something that is "Free" compared to something that is a "Gift" and why it can be so challenging and uncomfortable for humans to receive. From innate worthiness to deep listening and shifting from "what do I want?" to "how can I be of service?" this conversation is sure to expand your mind in a potentially new way. In a world where there is such an imbalance of resources and such a fine line between worthiness and entitlement, how sustainable is "gift economy"?

In this episode Micayla Jean shares what has come through for her individually and collectively as themes she's felt for the year of 2024. As she channeled her 2024 daily messages for her IG account and book Wilder Daily, these are some themes that she noticed. She also shares a reflection on what her word for 2023 was and how it showed up this past year.

Some 2024 themes include:

  • beginning again

  • birth and death, more-so in the continuation of cycles throughout our life and then change that we experience as old skins shed and new ones appear

  • the sacredness of in-between moments

  • who you've been is who you are becoming

Who would you be if you stopped being afraid to die?

Who would you be if you gave yourself permission to birth?

In this episode with Micayla Jean she talks deeply about the experiences of birth and death as the only two promised experiences of living as humans here on planet earth. As we dive into a new calendar year there is no better time than the present to contemplate what we are spending our time doing, thinking, feeling and believing about who we are and how we want to spend the rest of our lifetime on earth. There is no better time than now to let go of old stories and begin again, choosing to be the version of ourselves that best serves our heart, the people we love, our community and the world at large.

In this halloween episode, Micayla talks all things witchcraft and magic with Intuitive Guide and Spiritual Mentor, Kelly Dawn. From working an unfulfilling but successful job for sixteen years while "checking the boxes" of societal "norms" to eventually breaking the mold of what "success" looks like and fulling diving into working with women to awaken their inner witch and unlock their next-level of ease and flow Kelly shares the humbling and inspiring moments along the way. We talk about breaking through the judgement and projected fears from others while we rise into our own vision of a life we love. We talk about how much of our programming and fears come from past lives and we touch upon the witch wound and why so many of us sabotage our own success out of fear of being seen.

This is a GOOD episode, especially for the entrepreneur who loves manifestation and has a good foundation yet also feels like something is missing and holding them back from fully owning their potential.

In this episode with Jenn Bakos of Jenn Bakos Photography we go all the way back to where Jenn's love for photography began and what the through line has been to keeping her so passionate about it after over a decade. One of Jenn's strengths is her ability to create community, whether it was her six-plus years leading the Tuesdays Together Rising Tide Society group in Southern NH or co-founding Tell Northeast, an online publication and content creation (hopefully soon its own podcast), Jenn has an ability to connect and highlight community members doing really amazing things. Whether it is knitting with hand dyed wool or using local crabs to infuse whisky Jenn works with inspiring people and brands who have a knack for getting creative with the resources around them. Jenn loves working with local farms and local creators and she absolutely adores New England. Definitely listen to learn more about why! Don’t be afraid of the title haha this is actually a very wisdom-rich, vulnerable and fun conversation with Kenny LeRose who I met while living on the road in Sedona in 2020. The beginning of this episode we catch up and banter about our time living in the desert together during a pandemic and we quickly dive into Kenny’s “past lives”, from owning strip clubs in Vegas, playing in the poker World Series, competing as a body builder and working as a stuntman, to where Kenny is today living in his sixth year of nomadic life in his airstream. He is a super talented photographer (definitely follow him on IG @krl_photo) and writer and hosts photography workshops all over the world. Life has always been pretty unconventional for Kenny and we talk about the strengths and weaknesses of living alone (and his dog!) and constantly moving around. While he’s lived a wild life in so many ways he is an incredibly grounded and I would even say spiritual man who has a lot of art and wisdom to share with the world!

In this conversation with Emily Frost of Share the Soul Micayla and Em share their own vulnerable and heart centered stories and experiences of healing their own sister wound. After becoming fast friends and soul sisters their friendship eventually dissolved in a way that left them both feeling A LOT--from abandonment to confusion and a lot of personal pain that was not immediately addressed, after three plus years Em and Micayla came back together to have deep heartfelt and honest communication about what happened for each of them. In this week's episode we talk with Austin Mullen about his passion for skydiving and how he has found not just so much freedom and joy through jumping out of airplanes but he has also found community and a sense of purpose that he had been deeply longing for. We talk about the importance of mindset and taking care of your body and prioritizing who you spend your time with and how you spend your time in order to break through dark times of isolation and depression. Austin has a history of traveling all over the world and trying new things from photography to surfing, skiing and now skydiving. His life went on hold in different ways, as many of ours did, during the pandemic and he vulnerably opens up about what it was like to feel directionless and purposeless, and how making certain changes and prioritizing his health has truly changed his life. what is the thing that you think you'd literally die if you did?

the thing that scares you so much?

often times we think we will actually die of embarrassment or fear or we will get sick if we get on that stage or write that book or confess our love....

but maybe, what if it were the opposite?

what if we were actually making ourselves sick by not jumping into the things that scare us?

i've heard it said before, in many different ways, that we get sick when we don't walk our path of alignment. when we ignore our gifts or don't do the things we were brought here on earth to do...we get sick.

how does that make you feel? to think liek that? where do you feel that in your body?

The world did not understand her sometimes

But who did the world understand?

Other than the one’s who did and walked and talked and attempted to dream the exact same way

Because they thought they had to?

And to her,

That wasn’t living

She did not want to be understood by the walking dead

The one’s who dreamed only when they slept at night

She wanted to live a life dreaming with her eyes wide open

Living consciously the life she saw, right in front of her very face

And the world sometimes didn’t understand her

The way she walked and talked and dreamed misunderstood, driving across the country with eyes wide open

Missing turn after turn

it is okay to walk softly

you don’t have to run

you don’t have to break the earth beneath you

with every footstep of aggressive possession for another moment in time

it is not yours to keep forever

it is yours

to move through

with ease

grace

a softness in your steps

be gentle now

the earth is holding you

no need to break her down

to remind her to be strong for you

she does that on her own

and you, my dear

can settle into living

walking

softly on your toes

and even so

she thanked god for the way they’d met

time and time again

in the petals of flowers

the seat of a stone bench along the rocky coast

a perfect enmeshment of toes and sand drinking in the sea

warm rain on her hot summer skin

views from atop mountain peeks

a moose on the roadside with eyes of forgiveness for momentarily forgetting the magic that was abound

all around

an orca whale jumping through the boundary of water and wind

her salty skin dripping with the cleansing power of ocean

her first sip of coffee in the morning

a deep breath

a smile

from a stranger

from herself, for no reason at all

other than the ability to curl the corners of her mouth in a way that brough joy

she thanked god for the way they’d met

time and time again

in the love stories that didn’t last

in the friendships that blossomed over the years

in the safety of a motherly hug

in the nourishment of a hearty meal

her blue eyes staring back at her in the mirror of a still pool of glistening water

a morning skinny dip among the moon and the sun gently sharing the sky

in the way her pen and paper embodied the same space, creating art

creating a story

creating another story

re-told

over

and over

again

she thanked god for the way they’d never stop meeting

in the rays of the sun

the shimmer of the moon

the deep belly breaths

and the remembrance of a smile that always came

she thanked god for never letting her be alone

and just like that

i opened my eyes different one day

to see a world that I had been living

drift and fade

into a darkness that no longer belonged to me

my eye-lids blinked

to see it again

to witness if I was really seeing what my eyes took in

and I knew

with each blink

that I had awoken to a world where I was no longer living in fear of who I was

i no longer was exhausting myself

spinning myself in circles

dizzying my consciousness in order to fit into the spot I thought the world had crafted for me

and rather,

i became awake to who I’d been before the world got ahold of my brokenness attempting to fit me back into a space that was not for me, but rather for a completeness to a puzzle that embodied sameness all around

i woke up one day and saw that each and every piece next to me, was exactly the same

walked the same

talked the same

wore the same shoes

and I saw, while at the core of our beating hearts we were all one,

but the sameness of our outer appearance had made us forget that the oneness beating in our chests was how we stayed connected, not how we looked and talked and dressed and what we said to those we knew

i saw that our puzzle pieces were not us

they were mirages of who the world had tried to make us into

to keep us still

keep us quiet

so I ripped myself away

and it didn’t hurt

and the world saw that I was missing

but god watched me come home

so effortlessly

so wildly in love

with the world my eyes now saw

when I blinked them open yet again

The angels told her stories that she wasn’t sure the world

would understand

The trees wrote her novels

She wasn’t sure the world was ready to read

The rivers harmonized with her,

jotting down lyrics to songs

she wasn’t sure the world was ready to sing

And so, she’d keep them to herself,

knowing with all of her being

that the world needed to be a part of the books,

the songs…

She knew with all of her that if she stopped being afraid,

the world would listen to the angels that spoke through her fingertips

what if we had ONE day, a “holiday”, that we took as seriously as New Year’s Eve or Black Friday, Chinese new year or Christmas or Valentine’s Day, Yom Kippur or veteran’s day? What if we had a holiday where we all got off the internet? Turned off our social media apps, maybe even put our phones and computers away in drawers. What if for 24 hours the entire world got on board with being present, here and now, without the scrolling and the “liking”, the “google that” or “ask Siri” this? What if for one full day we could just be where we were and trust that we weren’t missing out on what our friends and family, influencers or podcast hosts had to say online that day?

What if for one day we could move through our life without the dopamine hits that come with posting and tagging, liking and sharing? What if for one single day we all gave ourselves the gift of remembering what life felt like without the constant pull to see what we may have missed on Instagram in the last seven minutes while we drove the the grocery store? What if we just put our hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road and sang out loud to the music that played in our heads, windows down. What if we really saw what was in front of us all day long? Maybe we could see the miracles we often miss. Maybe we would recognize when our body says “I need a deep breath” or maybe we would see the ten dollar bill on the ground that we’d normally walk right by.

Maybe we would make eye contact with 10% more people than usual. Maybe we would smile more and be smiled at more. Maybe we would actually look into our dog’s eyes rather than just posing them for a photo at the beach. Maybe we wouldn’t need to check the stock market or weather or score of the baseball game while eating dinner with people we love. Maybe we would make a recipe from our great grandmother’s hand written cook book instead of googling recipes for an hour and constantly getting olive oil on our phone to remember which step came next. Maybe the whole vibration of the planet would change. Presence can do that. Maybe we would see things in our life that we don’t actually like.

Maybe we would leave a relationship or a job because we’d finally become still and aware enough to see where we’d been numbing out and what we’d been pretending not to see. Maybe the world would go up in chaos. Or maybe the world would become 5% more calm. Maybe Mother Earth would exhale a little bit finally feeling an ounce of relief from the constant buzz of EMFs and 5G. I really don’t know what would happen, but it’s one of my big dreams to find out.

some words from a year off of IG.

It’s been one year off of IG and here is what I have to say:

Be

Breathe

Laugh

Sing

Swim

Dance

Drink coffee slow on rainy days

Get the puppy

Go one the date

End the relationship

Start it again

Say bye again

Take the class

Sign up for a new course

Swim in the rain

Swim as the sun is rising

Swim as the sun is setting

Walk the beach in the rain

Walk the beach in the sun

Walk the beach barefoot

Turn off the phone

Go to the woods

Read the books

Listen to the people you love

Listen to the people you don’t know

Listen to the people you don’t understand

See where you are actually the same

Listen to your own heartbeat

Listen to your soul in the silence of another breath

Feel the wind on your skin

Buy the new shoes

Get curious

Trust your curiosity

Take a shower

Take a bath

Go fishing

Go home

Say thank you

Look the sky

The clouds

The stars

The sun

Smile for no reason other than you can

Fix that thing that’s been broken

Or don’t

Do it all

Or don’t

Go everywhere

Or sit at home

Do nothing

Get still

Get busy

There’s no wrong way

There’s not right way

Whatever way you go

It’s the way you go

And it’s all part of the ride

It’s not wrong

It never was

You are right here

Right now

Exactly as you are

Exactly as you are meant to be

Smile about it

Ponder it

And let it all go

Breathe it in

Breathe it out

What a gift it is to be here right now

I’d been lost trying to figure out who to be for the world

What I could do

Who I could become

What I could create

What I could share

So that the world was gaining something

So that I was making a change

But my trying became an emotional battle against what the world needed

Something I had been neglecting

The more I tried to be something I thought the world needed

The more I abandoned myself

The more I lost the connection to me

My glasses fogged up

My mirrors became sticky with steam

And I couldn’t see myself anymore

Lost in a world of trying too hard

To be something for others

When what others needed most from me

Was to wipe off the fog

Splash water on the steam

Open the window

Let go of what I was trying to hard to be

And fall ease-fully into exactly who I was

The stuff that was fun

The stuff that came easy

That’s what the world needed from me

It was simple

And almost a cruel ambivalence to realize what the world needed from me was the easiest thing I knew to do

So I wrote

And I danced

And I laughed

Smiling to the sky

Thanking the earth

Wearing clothes that were mine

Shoes that were old and broken in

Reconnecting with the pieces of my life that I had pushed away as I went down a long and twisted road of trying so hard to figure out who to be for the world

Sometimes I could pretend to dance among the stars

Dive deep underwater and swim with the creatures in the depths of the sea

Sometimes I could pretend to fly with the bees

Hold my own hipping and hopping through the meadows with bunnies and know that I made sense there

I could create a story where I was a chameleon, ever-changing

Ever embodying new skin

To blend in to wherever I’d go

To feel safe

I could shed skins like a snake

Hold my breath like a loon

Fly like an eagle

See in the night time like an owl

Swooping through the misty forest

Sometimes I could pretend that I was everything but me

And mostly I’d always remember that I was everything,

And me

As a young girl my voice was raspy and deep. Over the last few years I dislocated my pharynx twice. Releasing shame around using my voice, letting go of fear and coming into a space of deeply trusting and using my own voice has been life changing.

Poem of the week:

It was in a deep exhale where she could sometimes let go a little more

Always, a little more

It was in the expansion of her belly breath where she felt his love dance inside of her

And it was when she breathed out that she knew she had to watch him dance out of her, fluidly with the release of air moving through pursed pink lips

He couldn’t stay living inside of her forever

Not in a way that made her feel hostage

He didn’t pay rent

To stay dormant in her bones

And she knew he’d stay forever

Hiding in there

In the light of her soul

Without reimbursing her for the love she showered over him, time and time again

She needed a refund on the time spent lusting over his co-dependent wounds

Making her feel needed

Allowing her to feel special

Over and over again

She’d put up a notice

Two weeks she’d said

And you’re out

Pay up

Or you’re out

Put your lips on mine

Show me that I am not a fool

Or you’re out

Place your hands on my face and tell me it’s always been me

Or you’re out

Place your heart atop mine

In a pureness of knowing

That this has not always been a lie

Just tell me you’re afraid

And let the sun warm the places inside of me that have cooled over time

Protecting me from the power that moves through my bones when I’m with you

Let me go

Set me free

With your body

Here

Or

Leave

Take me

Or leave me

Dance with me

Or let me dance on my own

Pay me the rent for the space you’ve taken up inside my bones for far too long

I am no longer interested in protecting your heart with mine

Defending your scarcity with my strength

I am no longer the shelter for your story

I am no longer the breath that holds you deep inside my belly

I am now the exhale that sets you free

And finally lets me breathe, without you on my lips

There was a moment when I stopped caring what the world thought of my “faults”

I shed the layers that felt sticky with insecurities

I laid down the novels of tamed perfectionism that rattled my weary bones at night

I said no more

I shook off the cob webs of desire for being something I was not

I nodded my head in forgiveness for the times I’d abandoned the girl inside of me, desperate to break free, to dance and sing with wide eyes

Open heart

I met her at this time

In that moment I stopped caring what the world thought of my “faults”

And when we met on that cool spring day, the clouds creating hearts in the sky, I looked down at my toes that had always been mine, but for some reason felt so estranged

Like they were new

Like the whole body attached to me

The whole body that sheltered my soul,

Was new

I’d transformed

Something shifted in my blood

Something had cleared

Expanded

I was refreshed

Awakened

I’d shed those sticky layers of skin

Laid down the stories not meant for me

I said no more

Shook off the webs

Nodded in gratitude for an opportunity to embrace the part of me that had always been there, so afraid to shine

And I thanked the world for giving me the opportunity to hide

So that I could find her again

The girl inside who I’d abandoned

She’d been desperate to break free

And in my toes

And my limbs

I felt in my beating heart

Her expression come alive

And it felt like home

I’d dusted the corners

Changed the sheets

Turned on the lights

Replaced the appliances

And painted the door

We’d come home as one

Finally,

Together

as you may know I’ve been off instagram for the last year (almost 300 days so far). I’ve shared a bit about this medicine on my podcast finding wilder. my latest and deepest and steadiest call has been to also release Facebook. There’s a whole beauuuutiful f***ing world to explore. nature. water. the sun rising. the moon sitting above the trees in the blue sky—in the deep black sky. there are strangers on the street worth smiling at. there are birds literally singing to you, FOR YOU. there are books to indulge in—what a massive blessing. there’s light that seeps through the windows and dances on the walls. there are butterflies. leaves rusting in the wind. there are humans to laugh with while walking through the forest or while sipping coffee or beers together. there are fires to be made on the beach to keep the bugs away. there’s salt water to swim in. there are mountains begging your feet to gracefully step upon them with your strength and curiosity.

I do my best to not pretend to know what is best for anyone else. and also, I do my best to share my experiences in a way that feels true for my journey.

nature, silence, stillness, time saying “thank you”, moving intentionally and slowly and in full presence to the here and now, trusting my curiosity—gifts that I hold very dear to my heart.

if you need/want/feel called to connect w me: micaylajean.com (email me or sign up for my newsletter where I typically share the books I’ve been reading, poems and random moments from ~living~)

or finding wilder the podcast on apple podcasts or Spotify

….i love you lots

Ps trust YOUR curiosity.

Written in 2016: Two years ago I made my year goal to live my life like a rock and a feather; to be floating and free yet simultaneously stay grounded in who I was and wanted to be as a person. I've grown in ways I don't even know how to explain since then, and this year I feel more thankful than I can even say. I'm thankful for the people in my life, the love, support and motivation emulated by others and most importantly the independence I have gained. I don't think we tell ourselves how proud we are enough, so today I am going to use the selfishness of it being my birthday to tell myself and share with you that I am so proud of the person I am becoming. I share this not to be conceited but in hopes that YOU will take time today to tell YOURSELF how proud you are of where you are, what you have done and where you are going. If you aren't feeling proud today, take this opportunity to make a goal, big or small, and say thank you to yourself because just being here right this moment is enough to to be grateful for.

I almost always felt this indescribable discomfort for being a human. It was like I had a body but I wasn’t always in it. I was above it. Or below it. Outside of it. It was like the world was happening inside of a snow globe and I could see it all happening, feel it all happening, but I was outside of the snow globe watching everything happen with a bird’s eye view, constantly trying to tap on the glass to get people’s attention, to say “hello! Why don’t you see me! Why don’t you understand me!”

Tune in and become 10% + more aware of where you are in this here moment.

The thing I miss most about instagram is sharing something vulnerable in hopes of connecting with at least one person and creating a moment in time where somebody somewhere remembers that they are not alone.

.

The angels told her stories that she wasn’t sure the world would understand

The trees wrote her novels

She wasn’t sure the world was ready to read

The rivers harmonized with her, jotting down lyrics to songs she wasn’t sure the world was ready to sing

And so, she’d keep them to herself, knowing with all of her being that the world needed to be a part of the books, the songs…

She knew with all of her heart that if she stopped being afraid, the world would listen to the angels that spoke through her fingertips

To Do What You Love

Its tough, she thought.

To do what you love.

To create a life.

By doing what you love.

The fear of descending.

And leaving the norm.

To quit what is realistic.

And do what you love.

Its tough, she thought.

To do what you love.

To move so holistically.

By doing what you love.

The absence of support.

And encouragement of doubt.

To move from the comfort.

And do what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

To create your own motion.

By doing what you love.

The internal harassment.

And ambivalent thoughts.

To move so erratically.

And do what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

To build your own empire.

By doing what you love.

The unintentional drought.

And motionless thoughts.

To feel so insignificant.

And do what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

To harness imperfection.

By doing what you love.

The ability to escape.

And the freedom to stroll.

To feel so ambivalent.

And do what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

To feel so at ease.

By doing what you love.

The urgency to change.

And the expectance to run.

To feel so important.

And do what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

To feel so afraid.

By doing what you love.

The absence of success.

And the expectance to succeed.

To feel so restless.

By doing what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

To feel so at peace.

By doing what you love.

The eagerness to grow.

And the reluctance to fail.

To feel so excited.

By doing what you love.

Its tough she thought.

To do what you love.

You have one life to live.

So do what you love.

She thought to herself.

Why not do what you love?

inspired by my poem, without you on my lips:

It was in a deep exhale where she could sometimes let go a little more

Always, a little more

It was in the expansion of her belly breath where she felt his love dance inside of her

And it was when she breathed out that she knew she had to watch him dance out of her, fluidly with the release of air moving through pursed pink lips

He couldn’t stay living inside of her forever

Not in a way that made her feel hostage

He didn’t pay rent

To stay dormant in her bones

And she knew he’d stay forever

Hiding in there

In the light of her soul

Without reimbursing her for the love she showered over him, time and time again

She needed a refund on the time spent lusting over his co-dependent wounds

Making her feel needed

Allowing her to feel special

Over and over again

She’d put up a notice

Two weeks she’d said

And you’re out

Pay up

Or you’re out

Put your lips on mine

Show me that I am not a fool

Or you’re out

Place your hands on my face and tell me it’s always been me

Or you’re out

Inspired by my spot in the sun on a chilly may morning with a hot cup of coffee, and a personal poem called Do the Scary Thing:

Do the scary thing.

Take the leap.

Leave the job that feels restrictive and hard.

Sign up for the class.

Commit to the relationship.

Book the ticket.

Nothing is forever.

Nothing has to be forever.

You choose.

The money, it will always come back to you.

The unaligned relationship…you will learn from it what you need in the time that it is in your life, and then, you will find the strength to walk away and know that what comes next is for the highest good of all.

The job…you’ll get another one, or maybe you will start your own business.

Your dream job may fall into your lap.

Stop forcing forcing forcing.

Start being, allowing allowing allowing.

In presence we trust.

In trust we evolve.

Through evolution we expand.

Through expansion our dreams become reality, because the only thing holding us back from our dreams becoming REALITY was the fear that held us hostage, unable to live in the here and now.

And when we choose the here and now, when we choose PRESENCE we fall effortlessly into trust, and we evolve and we expand and through each moment of expansion our hearts become big wide open and limitless containers of love and forever guidance in the hear and now, a perfect system of renegading our way through a world that has taught us to be stagnant and stuck.

We were not meant to be stagnant and stuck.

We were meant to flow over the brims of glasses.

We were meant to sway back and forth, jump up and down, and not wrestle with the flow of life, rather we were meant to BE the flow of life.

We are life.

We are one.

We are love.

And in the here and now we know that nothing is forever, and so we trust ourselves to DO THE SCARY THING.
