Today I interviewed Sister Loose Clarita and Sister Electra Complex of the Los Angeles Sisterhood.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a worldwide order of forward-thinking nuns, they are not religious, but moral and ethical by nature. They exist to promulgate universal joy, abolish systematic guilt and hate, through public manifestation and habitual perpetration. They are a 501C3 and raise funds in a grass root manner for the underprivileged.
They all volunteer without discrimination against creed, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation nor labels which divide us. They congregate and serve the communities they live in, where there is one nun all of us are.

Sister Loose Clarita, La mexicanita y la mรกs bonita! (Shhhhh, donโt tell the other queens!) I was born in modern Tenochtitlan (Mexico city) and am the daughter of Cuatlicue (Serpent Skirt), female aspect of primordial creation life, death and rebirth and am also the sister of Xochipilli (flower prince), patron of homosexuality, male prostitution, art, dance, flowers, song and health. As a gender non-binary identifying being, my vows center on the representation and inclusivity of Latin-American culture.
Sister Electra-Complex is an anomaly. On one hand, her loudmouth often gets her in trouble, centering her phallic Freudian need for center-stage attention, they seek this in the very way they live their queer lifeโas an unabashed critique of their socialized self. On the other hand, she is the essence of amorโexisting within stereotypes of femininity, a goddess of strength through love and empowerment.
