Valkyrie Holmes is the CEO of Faura, a company that simplifies wildfire mitigation in residential areas. They work with HOAs and property associations to handle data collection, scheduling, and communication between contractors to create defensible space around high-risk properties and protect homes from wildfire. Prior to starting Faura, she worked in data science and electrical engineering with both NASA's SEES Institute and SpaceX's Falcon AVI team. She became a part of the 776 Foundation which allowed her to work full-time on the wildfire prevention issue and has dedicated most of her working career to fighting climate change.
