These four corners have seen me to every degree,

All my thoughts, emotions, tears, smiles, anger, even my resting eyes in a dream

But these four corners cannot speak, they can only reflect the vibrations of me,

And who am I to be with these four corners surrounding me,

Who am I to be in a cage unless I free myself from all that I have become,

These four corners offer me a door, in which I am free to come and go as I please

But the choice, afterall, is up to me.

Like the four corners of a room, my mind acts like the four corners withholding my very existence,

I can choose either to stay enclosed and evermore confined to my thoughts, or I can open the door and be free, once and for all.

Because the four corners are not a permanent fixture, unless I allow it to be.
