A man that I knew, his world was so kind

His heart was so pure, his hatred was blind

He counted the days as his life had diminished

Observing the race, before it had finished

He carried his life as he carried his soul

Within his own heart he abounded with gold

He never looked down on those in the world

He minded his tongue, lest it would whirl

His caring was deep, like that of an ocean

Selfless was he, and full of emotion

Quiet and patient, and quick to the count

Brilliant with numbers, his view was profound

Never would judge, never would yell

To see through his eyes, you never could tell

The struggle of him, the struggle of life

He beat all the odds, transcending the heights.
