Growing old in age but the man still fights

Another unpromised day but he dare not cry

Even when his bones ache, he always fills his child’s plate

No wonder he’s depressed in a world so cold

Now he’s eating less as the bills unfold

He works himself to death so his child can live

To sacrifice himself is as selfless as it gets

In his eyes he is worthless, for somebody told him so

But in the eyes of his child, he’s determined, for he’s never letting go

Love to the old man with the pure, unbroken, soul.
