Exploring Jesus
Our walk with Christ begins with one step, acknowledging Jesus as our Creator, our Savior and our God. When I came to Christ, the first verse I memorized became my life verse. Isaiah 40:3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. And my life was changed forever, on a new path, on a new trajectory and with a new destination, in Heaven with Jesus Forever. I pray you learn and grow in the grace and knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ. Amen
Jesus is God. He made a conscious choice to love us by coming down from Heaven taking human form and dying on a cross for us.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1. Why did he create me? A series on who God, why God, what God. Join in, grow your faith in Jesus, begin your faith in Jesus, but have faith in Jesus.
David receives the Word of the LORD through Nathan the prophet of his punishment to come.
Prayers of David for help in his troubles. We can take these Psalms and make them ours. Cry out to the LORD for help in your times of trouble and know that He will be there.
David and Jonathan create a fantastic bond between them. And Saul is so jealous, he seeks to kill David.

Joshua has died and now the children of Israel must rely on the power of God and must take the land.

We see the failure of Joshua, sin in the camp and how following the lead of God is necessary to our lives.

We are getting very close now to entering the promised land. Moses continues to encourage them and build them up for the days to come.
These are the last words of Moses to the people of Israel. They are words of encouragement, exhortation and stern warning. They are words for them to obey then and words for us to take heed of now.
Moses, getting closer to his death, continues to rehearse Israel’s history to them. Encouraging and exhorting them.
Israel is given commands to destroy the inhabitants of the land because of their polluting influence.
We finish the story of this character Balaam as we begin to close the book of Numbers. Moses is preparing to die and their new leader is named.
We see the people continue to murmur against Moses and Aaron. We see Miriam and Aaron die as the children move on closer to the promised land
What a great God we worship as we compare the Old Testament to the New Testament in our gift of Jesus Christ
We begin by Israel being numbered and and separated as God sees fit. Then we begin to see the duties of each tribe and focus in on the tribe of the Levites.
We wrap up the book of Leviticus. And we see the glorious purposes of God sending His son Jesus to begin a new covenant. Because the old covenant with Israel failed.
We find more and more the feasts of the Old Testament are just a foreshadowing of our relationship with Jesus Christ
We see the Tabernacle being made and set up. As the Glory of God leads the Israelites in the 40 years of wandering.
In this episode Moses travels back to Mount Sinai to receive the commandments again and we see the glory of God upon his face.
We see the tablets come down from the mountain, but the children of Israel have made god, a golden calf. And we learn of Moses’s God given compassion
We see the building of the tabernacle, the outer court and the clothing of the priests.
We learn the exciting treasure that lies within the tabernacle and what it means to us as Christians
We see God wipe out the army of the Egyptians. We see Israel begin to grow into a deeper relationship with God.
We see Moses still dragging his feet with God. We hear God confirming who He is and His command to Moses
We see Moses being drawn to God. God tells Moses what to do, but Moses has his doubts. And because of this God chooses Aaron to be his mouth.
We see Jacob being taken back to Canaan, we see Joseph confirming to his brothers their surety and then giving up the ghost.
The boys are sent back home to get their younger brother, Benjamin. But in no way is Israel going to let him go.
We see Judah doing some rather foolish things and not living in a particularly Godly way. But God’s plan prevails.
Jacob needs a revival and takes his family back to Bethel where a spiritual revival begins.
We see the meeting of Jacob and Esau. Jacob begins to settle and ends up in Shechem where Dinah his daughter is defiled by Hamor’s son. We find out how God uses even the sinner.
We see Jacob wrestle with God and is crippled by the experience, but in this there is a great change in Jacob
Jacob takes off back home. Laban pursued him to Mount Gilead and they have a final verbal showdown
Here we see Jacob tired and having a dream. A dream of a ladder. A connection between man and God.
We see Isaac becoming old and wanting to bless his oldest son Esau. Jacob and Rebekah make a plan to have Jacob receive the blessing instead.
Here we see the fascinating story of Eleazar finding Isaac a wife. We explore the meaning of this through Eleazar as a type of the Holy Spirit and we see Isaac as a type of the Son.
We see God testing Abraham in the sacrifice of his son, Isaac. And we see the correlation to the Father and His Son, Jesus
We see Isaac born and circumcised. Hagar and Ishmael are cast out and protected by God.
We see the corruption of the city of Sodom also corrupted Lot and his family. Lot is seen as righteous even thou he has been tainted by the world of Sodom.
The three angels of the LORD visit Abraham and he shows great hospitality. And then prior to the destruction of Sodom, Abraham intercedes for them.
We see the lapse of faith of Sarah and Abraham, we also see GOD moving greatly and introducing the son of promise, the son of laughter, Isaac
We continue in the story of Abram. Lot is captured in Sodom and Abram mounts a rescue mission. We are also introduced to The King of Salem, Melchizedek. The King of peace.
We are introduced to Abram and his family. We find them journeying from Ur of the Chaldese.
We discuss the beginning of human government and the beginning of life after the flood. We also see God’s first covenant with man
In Chapter 7 we find Noah and His family safely secured in the ark. And we see the parallels between the ark and Jesus
We see arguments against evolution. And we get more detailed about the ark and the flood.
Man has sinned and has been separated from God. Man was created Spirit-soul-body but becomes inverted with sin to body-soul-spirit. God judges man for his sin.
Chapter two is a recount of recreation, but now zoning in on the creation of man. God’s crowning creation.
We look at God’s creation, and most importantly the creation of man. We continue to explore Genesis to find all the beginnings.
The beginning of life created by our LORD Jesus. There are many ways to look at Genesis and we begin by breaking into some of those ways.
