Where to start:

Romans: talks about  how to live a Christian life

Philippians: talks about having Joy in the trials

John: tells the story of Jesus

Psalms: helps you  feel your emotions with God

Galatians: talks about pursuing a life of holiness as a Christian and gives guidelines - also like this is Colossians. I personally love Colossians 3:1-25 the whole thing!
