Although filtering through what we allow ourselves to say to others and the manner in which we conduct ourselves through speech can be very useful, this can also be detrimental to us in terms of the expression our emotions. We are so used to filtering through how we feel and downplaying the reality of what we may be experiencing within your own lives. This is never helpful. Sometimes it is best to state how we are really feeling whilst our emotions are at their realest and ‘raw’. Being explicit in terms of our expression can be helpful for a more accurate reflection of our growth at a later stage in life. There is a way to do this without fearing judgement of the very expressions of our emotions by expressing ourselves within an open space with someone we trust, by journaling our thoughts and struggles, by inspecting the root causes of all that we feel and ultimately being able to reflect on our process and growth in the future.
