There is more to making a recording of a song that meets the eye. So in this episode we will take a look at the 5 different careers and steps in Music Technology. 

We will focus on what makes each step unique, and what sort of traits suit that career. Everything in the podcast is information I wish I knew when I started making music, so I really hope you can learn something from it!

The steps are as follows:

• Songwriting (Creating the Lyrics, Melody, Chords, Key, BPM)

• Recording (Recording Audio files into the DAW - Digital Audio Workstation)

• Producing (Creating a soundscape with instruments, textures and sounds that suit the emotion of the song)

• Mixing (Setting the levels, panning, and effects that go on each of the instruments and sounds)

• Mastering (Making the track louder, more compressed, and sounding great on multiple sound systems)
