In the 1st century Rabbis offered a set of traditions and rules in order to follow God's law. By the time Jesus was born these laws had become a burden to people and their relationship with each other and God. Jesus offers a new "Yoke" for his followers. One that is light and easy. 

Jesus showed his followers a simple path to love one another and love God, a yoke calling us to "Do good to everyone."
