Esdras was amongst the Hebrews taken to Babylon after the Israelites sinned and the most High caused them to be led out of their Land as punishment. Ist and 2nd Esdras is still included in the 1611 King James Bible, was taken out of newer Bible versions. Also know as 4 Ezra. Esdras and the other Hebrews were exiled to Babylon during the reign of King Artaxerxes.
