Sam Dakin is one of New Zealand’s leading track cycling sprinters.

He was part of the men’s trio that secured bronze at this year’s Commonwealth Games - a cycling programme on the rise, reaping the rewards after a devastating 12 months.

In this episode Sam talks about losing mate Olivia Podmore, the post-Games blues following his first Olympic campaign, his struggles with OCD, his various business ventures, and how important having a strong support system in place is.

A trigger warning; we do touch on suicide in this episode, so if it is something which upsets you, please seek help, there are plenty of amazing networks and programmes out there.
