Throughout the pandemic the wellness industry was heavily hit for those with bricks and mortar. The salon and spa doors were closed, therapists were furloughed, and yet the setting was needed as part of the recovery for us all and is also one of the most sterile environments pre-pandemic. This is part of a series of interviews with therapists, wellness practitioners, business owners, and energy workers. They share so much wellness and business gold.

SPOTLIGHT ON CLARE SINGLETON

Clare runs a beautiful spa, offering treatments to the community with Cancer, bereavement and stress care their specialty. The Granary spa had to close twice within months during the pandemic and had to reduce staff by 50%! The gift of time during the lockdown came in the form of increased study and an authentic injection of self into the business from Clare and as a result she found balance, noticed increased client engagement and enjoyed prioritising self care, living by what she created for others.

Secondly, it’s a play on numbers as 2020 has been a very different year and I wanted to make it end on a high and show what a community can do when they pull together 💓
