Part of the Covid-series supporting The Hunger Project - see below

Throughout the pandemic the wellness industry was heavily hit for those with bricks and mortar. The salon and spa doors were closed, therapists were furloughed, and yet the setting was needed as part of the recovery for us all and is also one of the most sterile environments pre-pandemic. This is part of a series of interviews with therapists, wellness practitioners, business owners, and energy workers. They share so much wellness and business gold.

SPOTLIGHT ON CHARLIE THOMPSON

Charlie plays a vital part in the wellness industry, his latest venture - The Massage Company, employs more than 60 people and is soon to be on another recruitment drive. Of course I have to ask Charlie tips on staying buoyant during a pandemic and beyond! He also shares that planning is essential yet not to be hard on yourself if it doesn’t go to plan, pivot and go at it! Having a strong digital presence proves beneficial whether the doors of your business are open or closed. In addition to the current 5 centres, another 1 since this conversation they are about to open more in Scotland.

I launched 6 interviews in total in December 2020 - 3 1/2 hours of business advice in return for a donation to The Hunger Project, remember this is part of a community so whether you can spare a £1 or £100 we are grateful, it’s strength in numbers to make a difference. The advice is supportive for all businesses from sole trader to franchise and from personal mindset to speaking from the heart to keep your business buoyant in these times and beyond 💓 For those that cannot afford to donate please still watch the interviews, I hope they will bring support and inspiration 💓 Why you may ask did I set such a high target to raise £20,200 - firstly the cause has an ambitious goal to end world hunger by 2030 so I had to be equally ambitious. Secondly, it’s a play on numbers as 2020 has been a very different year and I wanted to make it end on a high and show what a community can do when they pull together 💓
