Indications: Evaluation of ALT:

• Progression of liver disease
• Monitoring response to treatment

Normal Therapeutic Values: Normal – 40-130 U/L

What would cause decreased levels? DECREASED:

• Pyridoxal phosphate deficiency
  • A rare genetic metabolic disorder
