Dr. Douglas Engelman is the President of NAMI Wilmington in North Carolina. In addition to that, he is also on faculty at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is a Medical Sociologist, with a concentration in mental health/mental illness. His research is focused on improving the lived experience of individuals who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness, also addressing the challenges experienced by family members. He is also the host of his own podcast called "Who Isn't F** Crazy" in which he discusses stories of mental health. Please enjoy!
