Daylight Saving Time started yesterday. So it's time for the same debate we have twice a year: WHY are we still doing this? A lot of people want to make Daylight Saving Time permanent. But for what it's worth, we tried that for 16 months in 1974 and '75. It didn't go well, because kids were going to school in the dark.
