We need to think about eternity. Who is heaven for? Heaven is for the adopted children of God. Where are you going when you die and who are you travelling with?

We need to grow and mature in our faith. We need not to be like little children; easily swayed by what we hear. The enemy wants to destroy our faith, but we need to stand firm in the word and know what we believe. As we grow in maturity, we will grow in truth and love.
We cannot serve two masters. We serve either self or God. Pride serves self, humility serves Christ. Christ is our example of humility. The devil is the example of pride. We need Jesus to free us from the burden and grip that pride holds on us, into the freedom and joy of acceptance before God and holiness in the Spirit.

God's word, the gospel, is a far better story than the narrative that the world has to offer. Let us be confident, assured, and courageously stand on that story as well as share it with others.

Repentance and faith go hand in hand. We can't have one without the other. Repentance is more than words, since our actions speak louder than words. But repentance brings joy and peace in our hearts before God. We need to be a repentant people.

The resurrection of Jesus is a fact of history. But it is also a reality in the hearts of believers, who live the resurrection life in the Spirit, with strength for today and hope for eternity when we will have the fullness of our glorified bodies, when there will be no more sin or sorrow any longer.

Jesus' suffering and death effected more for us than we often think. It was not just his physical suffering, but also his atonement for sin, his victory over evil rulers and powers, and in his resurrection his vicroty over death results in us being able to be raised to life by the same Spirit who raised him from the dead.

The key to guidance is following Jesus closely, listening to his voice, as well as using our heads to understand what God's Word tells us is allowed or not. God is more interested in the journey than the destination. But there is also forgiveness for when we diverge from his path, and God resets our way forward in his grace and mercy.

As a church, as individuals, our priorties should always be 1) worship, 2) fellowship, 3) mission, in that order. Fellowship is more important than mission, even though mission is urgent. The reason is that fellowship is communion with God through each other, as an extension of personal worship of God.

Let us worshop God through our work, whether at home, in the workplace, at a charity, or caring for those in need.

The Devil's henchmen include worldly power and might, along with those who encourage or force people to comply or worship in different senses such powers or authorities. While Christians should obey those in authority as long as they are upholding God's moral law, they must not obey them when they overstep the mark into defining morality and requiring people to follow their beliefs.
