Today we’re talking about trauma and trauma based decision making. What happens when we allow the trauma of the past to be the basis for how we stand and respond in the now.

We have all experienced some form of trauma. Trauma is so easy to hold and embody. Trauma holds you hostage in time and it makes a moment last for a lifetime when it goes unaddressed. People define trauma all kinds of ways but most simply trauma is a severe mental or emotional stress or physical injury.  I’ve come to recognize that trauma is fiercest fueled by the emotions we associate with what we’ve experienced. One amazing truth  is that Yah understands and even desires to free us from the burden of bearing trauma and has even established an entire process for us to go through for wholeness and healing.

Whether you are the victim or perpetrator of trauma there is usually some guilt, shame or anger that we hold around the situation. Letting those feelings linger and stake a claim in our heart or mind creates all kinds of chaos in our lives and manifests in self harming or destructive modes of operation and decision making.
