Hello, today I pay tribute to the Legendary Minnesota Vikings head coach Bud Grant who passed away on March 11th, 2023 at the age of 95. Bud Grant was a very stoic and wise head coach for the Minnesota Vikings in 1967, he became the second head coach in Minnesota Vikings franchise history. Where he guided them to four Superbowl appearances which they lost. He also helped the Vikings become contenders in 1968 when they played in their first-ever playoff game a loss to the Baltimore Colts. In 1969 the Vikings made it all the way to Superbowl 4 losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 23-7. Bud Grant would retire as the Vikings head coach in 1983 but would come back in 1985 for one more season after the disastrous Les Steckel 3-13 record in 1984. Grant led the 85 Vikings to a respectable 7-9 record and retired again after the season. He was elected to the Canadian football hall of fame in 1983 and the NFL hall of fame in 1994. He will be missed by all his players, the fans, and his family.
