Today’s Key To Confident Living began on WPHM in Port Huron, MI in 1994 in a format similar to the one in use today. (WPHM continues to use the program.) The goal was to present moral, biblical and inspirational truth in a manner which made sense to listeners. The program quickly met with wide acceptance and station personnel encouraged us to seek out other stations who would be interested in the program. Today 150+ stations use the English version and another 230 stations us the Spanish version, Clave a la Felicidad.

I have often said that one sign of good mental health is the ability to do an accurate self assessment. Granted, we may not always like what we see, but a heathy person says, "This is what I am - whether I like it or not." They are honest with themself.
"Thinking of yourself with sober judgement" is telling us to be honest in what we see. I call it, "being able to read the landscape around you."
As you lead, don't be afraid to look at yourself or even have someone else evaluate your leadership skill and make adjustments where necessary. To make a false evaluation of our abilities may make us fee good for awhile, but it does not improve who we are or our leadership potential.

I confess that my practice was usually to ask God to remove the obstacles or mountains in my life rather than directly addressing the mountain; yet, when Jesus was talking to the disciples about the subject, he gave them specific instructions - “if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” (Mark 11:23). Jesus gives a similar teaching about removing a Mulberry Tree and indicates that just a Mustard Seed amount of faith would be enough to make it happen (Luke 17:6). How does God want us to exercise our faith?
