If you’re ever feeling like no one is there on your darkest day, just know I am here. The reason for creating this podcast is solely for you, not for me. I hope that this podcast can help save lives. Michael Jackson said take a look at yourself in the mirror and make a change, well that’s what I’m doing and you should too. You matter.

I am here because of my loved ones, my mother, father, brother, wife and close friends. If it wasn’t for them I would’ve pulled the trigger a couple of months ago. I come from a poor family, had a childhood that no kid would ever desire, my parents did the best they could with what they had and for that I live for them now. I am proof of their sacrifices. I can’t give up because of what they gave up in order to support me and my brother. I never went to Disney, barely could afford to go to school field trips, my mother had to go to churches to ask for money assistance and food. There were days I didn’t know if we’d have a meal for the whole family. My father did the best he could to make us participate in sports without having to pay the fees for travel ball. During the time my dad was detailing, I helped him detail a car in return for some soccer cleats. My mom worked tirelessly in the school cafeterias to provide while also being ridiculed for having poor English. Although work was exhausting, she still came home and tended to us. I want you to know that my childhood was shitty, but I learned so much from their efforts that a majority would never understand. So again, Im still standing because of their sacrifices. I couldn’t pull the trigger because of what they went through, it would’ve been a waste. I will say this, although my childhood wasn’t the best, I still have memories of when times weren’t that bad. I try to think of the positives. I didn’t have many friends, but the few that I did made a difference. What I want you to take from all this is that, no matter how hard life gets, suicide isn’t the answer because you’re not only hurting yourself, but others that care for you as well. Wake up, when you go to brush your teeth, look behind the pain and suffering and know that deep down, you have a purpose but you have to jump through obstacles first. On my days where I didn’t feel anything, picking up the bottle only made things worse. I encourage you to go out and find a hobby, or if you’re into fitness then go to the gym. Fight the pain and fill that void that you have inside. If I can make it, you can too.
