Happy Halloween! Today, I have the pleasure of speaking with Eileen Hollis. Eileen is a funeral director at the Hollis Funeral Home in Syracuse, NY. At the beginning of the pandemic, Eileen started making Tik Tok videos, answering some of people's most relevant  questions about, well... death. And she has been very successful at it, garnering over 700,000 followers and 11 million likes. Eileen has been de-stygmatizing the conversations about death in an industry that is seeing change in the wake of social media.

It's almost bad comedy at this point to talk about how much we miss being amongst people. Even with the vaccine for COVID 19 in sight, the urge to be amongst the crowds is an ever present urge for many. Well, I might have a little medicine for that. Today I am talking to Liz Muller, co-founder of Pipe Dream Theater, and the director of it's musical Podcast, Three Ghosts. We'll get into what the podcast is shortly, but with a combination of great writing, direction, and music, it was a wonderful reprieve that I enjoyed very much, and I hope you will too. Ladies and gentlemen, we need to talk about Zack Snyder. As you may know, the Snyder Cut of the Justice League drops tomorrow, a film that was originally trashed when creative direction was changed at the studio's behest, amidst a horrible tragedy for Zack Snyder and his family. It was revived, however, but the onslaught of online petitions and fan support, delivering a film no one thought would ever be seen. So, I have invited Hamilton Tamayo back to discuss, have a drink, and engage in our second careers as film critics. Here we go.

Art changes with time and with technology, and so do creatives. The tech world over the past fifteen years has seen tectonic shifts in terms of commerce, socializing, and advertising. Today I talk with Hamilton Tamayo, who has navigated these shifts since his first job. I will warn you, we turn hard into nerd-dom and keep driving on through. While drinking. We drink and drive into nerd-dom. You know what, this is a bad analagy let's just start the show.

I don't know about you, but the past few weeks have been rough. The new year saw the culmination of political division in the United States in the storming of the Capitol, an event not seen in more than 200 years. In the context of this event, and those leading up to it, Drinking with Creatives is going to do a something bit different for our season 2 premiere. There's a lot of confusion about one of our Constitutional amendments and we're going to clarify things a bit by asking a question:

What the Hell is the Freedom of Speech?

Where does it begin? As importantly, where does it end? Is de-platforming a First Amendment issue? If Twitter bans me, can I sue?

So I did the only sensible thing, when needing an education. I got me a teacher.

Does talking about sex make you uncomfortable? Do descriptions of genitalia, even clinically, make you squirm? Well, this might not be the episode for you. Today I am having a drink with Chris Comfort. He's a model, an actor and, most recently, a photographer focusing on boudoir, fine art photography, and dark art erotica. This is a packed one, as we dive into setting up boundaries and permissions, trust between the artist and their subjects, eroticism as therapy for sexual trauma, and a whole bunch more. Grab yourself a beverage and a seat, it's going to be a hell of a ride.

David Givens is a New York born-and-bred DP. He works a lot in documentary, and you can tell because he's unafraid to ask a few questions himself. But talking about where we came from is good only to a point where we turn and ask where we are going, especially in the wake of the changing conversation about race, it's representation in front of, and behind, the camera.
