Annika Eve Shaw of McKinney, Texas was born sleeping on June 30, 2023. We struggle to understand why, but we may never know. We have no doubt Annika is playing at the feet of Jesus. Though her time on this earth was short, her impact on her family will be felt for eternity.
In our Men's Breakfast, Bro. Glynn shared his testimony of God's grace in drawing him to Christ and the forgiveness of sin.-Glynn was focused on success and accumulating wealth in Corporate America through hard work, long hours and the associated lifestyle. Even though surrounded by people, he felt alone because he did not have Christ or a church family. He felt he was without hope.-As the Lord brought Him to salvation, Glynn was overjoyed and at the same time convicted for the time Glynn had turned his back on God.-Glynn will encourage you and even dare you to pray as he prayed ,-Here I am Lord, use me.-

Pastor Jake reads from Galatians, chapter 3 and Numbers, chapter 6 and shows how the crushing weight of the curse of darkness was placed on Jesus so that we might have the light of the countenance of God shine upon us.
Praying in the garden Jesus is betrayed by a kiss and confronted by a mob seeking to arrest him. Jesus calls it the power of darkness, when Satan himself would try to gain victory over Christ, the King. Reading fromcc and 63-65, Pastor Jeff shows us that the power of darkness could not overcome the power of heaven, God's divine plan that would not be thwarted.
Following his last meal with his disciples, Jesus retreats to the garden of Gethsemane to pray. But in agony, Jesus contemplates the cup of the Father's wrath that he must drink. Pastor Jeff reads from Luke 22-39-46 and Jeremiah 25-15-18 and shows why Jesus feared death more than any man.
Pastor Jeff reads from Luke 22-7-16 and helps us visualize the final passover, a meal Jesus earnestly looked forward to sharing with his disciples. The defining moments of that meal would all find their ultimate meaning and fulfillment in him.
As Jesus rode by them, the people cried out, -Hosanna, Hosanna-- Which means, -Save us now-- The people waving palm branches were looking for a political leader, someone to help them overcome their Roman oppressors. But Jesus' mission was much different. Pastor Jake reads from John 12-12-15, and tells us about a king who rode into Jerusalem to save his people but in a way no one expected.
Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem angered the religious leaders. The children of the temple crying out, -Hosanna, to the son of David- convinced them to reject him as king. They could not overcome their pride. Pastor Jake reads from Matthew 21-12-17 helping us see the Victorious King.

The Apostle Peter declares that the promises concerning Christ and the New Covenant belong to adults and their children -Acts 2-39-. Baptism is a sign and seal of inclusion in God's Kingdom. The promise is greater than the sign. If the promise applies to children, how can any deny the sign- Like circumcision, baptism is to be applied to children.
