Brian Craig joins us today. He played his college golf at Florida under Buddy Alexander, was Head Men's Golf Coach at UCF for two years and 22 years at the helm at Kentucky. He helped guide Kentucky to their first SEC Championship in 2005. He joined P3 Recruits and has helped so many juniors find the best place for them to find the right fit to play college golf.
Gary Christian grew up in England and made his way to Alabama where he played his last two years of college golf at Auburn. All-SEC player who won over 30 mini-tour events, two Korn Ferry Tour wins as well. He turned to broadcasting and has been work for 10 years with Golf Channel, ESPN+, ESPN covering professional golf. 2 Time Mississippi Women's State Amateur Champion Mary Langdon Hardman joins us this week. We talk about life as a PGA TOUR Kid, her love of sports and how she got her late start playing competitive golf. Now a mother of 2, she was the medalist at the USGA Women's Mid-Am qualifier at Houston CC making it to the national tournament 2 years in a row. She just happens to be my oldest daughter.
This week's guest in Michigan Women's Golf Coach Jan Dowling now in her 10th season. She grew up outside Toronto before heading to the USA to play her college golf at Kent State. Jan played professionally for a couple of years before returning to Kent State to start her coaching career there as an assistant. She also spent time at University of Florida and Tennessee before becoming the head coach at Michigan. While at Michigan they have reached the NCAA Championship 4 different times including the past 2 seasons.
We are back for season 6 and can't wait for everyone to get to know a few more college coaches along the way and many more of our guests. This week we have Mike McGraw the Baylor Men's Golf Coach with us with some great insight to college golf. He has been part of 3 National Championship teams over the years including stops at Oklahoma State, Alabama and he has turned the Baylor Men's Golf Team into a very competitive team both in the Big 12 as well as nationally.
We have the new Indiana University Women's Golf Coach Brian May with us this week. We get to know Brian better in this week's episode and relive his journey beginning as a club pro at Frankfurt CC to coaching at the college level. He spent 5 years in the club professional business before spending 8 years as the assistant for the Kentucky Women's program which is now a top 25 team nationally. He will be successful in resurrecting Indiana Women's golf back to both a Big 10 contender and national contender.

This week we have Oregon Ducks Women's Golf Coach Derek Radley on the podcast. He graduated from Ferris State, worked as a golf instructor for several years, also he is married to Sara Brown who played the LPGA and was on Golf Channel's Big Break He caddied for her for a couple of years on the LPGA before he took the assistant women's golf coach job at Arizona where they won a NCAA Championship in 2018. He just finished his 4th season at Oregon after winning the 2022 PAC-12 and runner-up at the 2022 NCAA Championship, the ducks are now one of the elite programs in women's golf. He and Sara have 3 children Palmer, Ryder and Azalea.
We chat with Tom Shaw Abilene Christian Men's Golf Coach. They won the WAC for the first time in school history and qualified for the NCAA Regionals for the first time as well. Tom tells us about the rollercoaster finish to the conference tournament and the nerves that went with it, what it means to the program and how they will prepare for the regionals in California at the Stockton Regional. We also go back in time when he was a player at Georgia Tech under legendary Coach Puggy Blackmon, professional career and why he chose coaching at the College level.
Garrett Runion LSU Women's Golf Coach joins us again to recap the Stanford Regional where his LSU Women's Golf Team punched their ticket to Greyhawk for the NCAA Championships. He was named SEC Co-Coach of the year and has rebuilt the program to a top 15 ranking this season after winning the SEC for first time in 30 years. We go over all 6 regionals and who made it and who missed. 6 regionals 4 teams advance and 2 individuals from each regional.
Coach Ryan Cabbage returns to the podcast to update us on Charlotte's Conference USA Title and another solid season for the Men's Golf Team. We preview the Men's NCAA Regional sites which are scheduled for May 16-18 2022 where 5 teams from each of the 6 regional sites will qualify for the NCAA Championship at Greyhawk CC in Arizona. We caught up with Jerry Haas, now in his 25th season at Wake Forest as the Men's Golf Coach. He played professionally for 10 years after an All-American college career at Wake Forest. His Uncle Bob Goalby won the 1968 Masters and multiple tournaments on both PGA and Champions Tour. His brother Jay also a multiple winner on both PGA and Champions Tour. University of Texas Men's Golf Coach, John Fields joins the podcast this week. He played his college golf at New Mexico with teammates Curt Byrum and Tommy Armour III. In 1987 he became the Men's Head Golf Coach at New Mexico. The University of Texas hired him in 1997 and he has become one of the best in the business, winning the NCAA in 2011-12 season with Jordan Spieth.
