Join me and my guest, Dr. Bob Reccord for the second episode where we discuss the issues of father wounds and wounds in general.  He makes a profound point that "Time heals no wounds, time only magnifies them."  We must be purposeful in seeking our healing and be willing to do what it takes to maintain it. When we recorded this a month ago, I had no clue how much his points about wounds would mean to me today.  Enjoy!

At the age of 19, Bob Reccord surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, compelled to make a difference in the lives of others because of the difference Christ had made in Him. Believing that Christ had called him both to a personal relationship with Him, and an exciting personal mission alongside Him, Bob has served Christ in several different venues.

Spiritual Advisory:

This episode is raw and guilt-free.  It is an in-your-face account of a life now free of bandage.  If you continue to listen your mind will be blown, your heart enlivened, and your soul convicted.    You will not be able to lie to yourself while listening to Melissa Bradford and her story.

She brings a message within her story that faces darkness upfront and personal.  In the upcoming episodes, we will not just merely deal with hurts habits and hangups, or addiction as a whole.  We will brutally confront the results and repercussions that follow.  Shame and the shunning.

*This episode is listed as explicit because of the unfiltered and unadulterated talk concerning drugs, alcohol, and other sensitive material.

This is the third of three episodes that my guest, Dr. Chuck Stecker (my dad) and I discuss the issues surrounding generational trauma.  Can our culture witness generation healing?  And if so, "What does it look like?

Chuck uniquely combines several years of business experience, 23 years of military service, and over 25 years of full-time ministry to bring forth a clear strategy to equip, train, empower and release a new generation of leaders. He has a passion to see churches return to truly intergenerational communities and develop the clear pathways that keep young adults actively connected to their churches and see them develop into the leaders that will impact every area of our society.

Chad and Jamie Elder have had the privilege of serving in Africa since 2013. During their time on the continent, they have been able to serve and lead a church planting team, teach English, train and send out missionaries to other areas, build relationships and see hearts transformed for the Kingdom of God.

Their time on the mission field has tested them as well.  Their desire to go back to Africa and continue their journey as missionaries continues.  As the elders prepare to head back to the mission field they talked with me about some of their most memorable experiences to date.

Their time on the mission field has tested them as well.  Upon returning from their last mission, they realized the toll ministry had taken on them and the disappointment of their heart's desires not being fulfilled in personal areas.  Would they walk away, or allow the God they serve to heal and restore them to step out once again?

One year after the death of her husband, God would share with Jodi that she was to build a ministry.  In October 2016 Jodi gathered with close family and friends to honor Wes' memory and held their first retreat.  By the end of the year, the name of the ministry was revealed as well as the mission.

Now called by Christ to serve others with the intent of sharing the truth through grace, encourage wholeness through a relationship with Jesus and stand in faith through His word.  Walking in the mission of UNITING to KNOW Jesus Christ, we provide opportunities for others to heal while not stifling God’s creativity on what that should look like.

In This episode, Jodi takes us on her journey through healing and wholeness and lets us have an in-depth look into how "Forged in Faith Oak Ministries" was established, where it is now, and its vision for the future to come.

Today's Podcast showcases the fiery yet humble Paul Washer.  In 2006, he gave a shocking message to a youth convention that would stir our culture to reevaluate our teaching on salvation and the narrow path that leads to the narrow gate.  This is that message.

Paul Washer became a believer while studying at the University of Texas. After graduating, he moved to Peru and served there as a missionary for ten years, during which time he founded the HeartCry Missionary Society in order to support Peruvian church planters. HeartCry’s work now supports indigenous missionaries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, North America, and Latin America.

Paul now serves as one of the laborers with the HeartCry Missionary Society. He and his wife Charo have four children: Ian, Evan, Rowan, and Bronwyn.

The original American Dream was a beautiful thing.  But what if I told you that it has been dismantled and redefined ultimately demolishing the original intent?  We have allowed our greed to turn our focus from the presence of God that consumes Heaven, to become distracted by the gold He chose to pave his streets with.
