Citizen Kane holds up as one of the greatest movies of all time and still feels fresh and groundbreaking today. Mank is a very enjoyable, very gorgeous movie about the making of Kane, however suffers from the same tropes as other How-It-Got-Made biopics (The Disaster Artist, Dolemite is My Name, etc). Enjoy!

Mandy is the doomer meme and Midsommar is the chad/virgin meme. I get super melodramatic talking about Mandy. I don't think Christian deserves his fate at the end of Midsommar unless you're my future girlfriend reading this in which case Christian was a bad bad man who probably got off easy if you ask me!

Here's the link for the opening mural in Midsommar: https://i.redd.it/l0sa4b813up31.png

It's the end of an era! PTA and Tarantino both burst on to the scene around the same time and went on to make bittersweet movies about the end (or should I say, THE DEATH) of the 60s! I said I was going to cut the part where Romel tells women to DM me and send "pictures of their hummus" but I don't know what that means so I guess I'll keep it in!

It's the punk episode...or should I say anti-punk? We talk about how punks are cool, until we decide they're not. Repo Man is an irreverent cult masterpiece that lightheartedly reflects the bored suburbanite adolescence punk was born out of. Green Room is a movie that made me queasy when I first saw it in theaters that only becomes even more terrifying when Romel explains why exactly it's so "of its time." Tune in to find out why!

Alright folks, let's kick this off. It's ya boys Will and Romel and uh, yeah. Pretty sure we're giving it to you raw. That's right, no script baby! On the first episode, we talk about Oliver Stone's classic war movie Platoon and Romel waxes about his love for John Travolta's From Paris With Love and its unbridled exuberance. It also manages to be more overtly jingoistic than Platoon, and that's an actual war movie! Tune in to find out why!
