Salvation: Faith vs Works Part 3
Salvation - Faith vs Works Part 3.
Join us for an interview with Andrew, who went from living life no differently to others, under the banner of having an 'understanding with God', to having a true revelation of how faith and works are related. An honest, open and real conversation about how intimacy with Jesus changes us and our perspectives in life.
Do you feel as though you need to do the right things for God to be happy with you? Or do you find yourself excusing your actions because God will still love you regardless? In this episode of faith vs works we look deeper at the psychology behind both of these viewpoints, and discuss how we can come back to realign ourselves with scripture and what God's heart on the matter truly is. #psychology #faith #faithjourney #works #god #christian

Can you believe in God and continue to live life the same way? Unpack scripture to find out what the Bible says about faith vs works, and reflect on where you sit on the spectrum.

What do we do when we want to believe in God but want proof that He is real first? How can we believe in a God we don't know exists? And if God is real, how come He doesn't show Himself to me?

What a better way to wrap up 2021 by reflecting on the year that's been and helping gain clarity of vision moving forward.
Let's go through some questions about identity, challenges, faith, personality, values, and relationships to evaluate where we are at, and where we want to be in the future.

Dive into the Christmas Story like you haven't before. Hear about the people involved in the story (Joseph, Mary, the wise men and the shepherds) in a new light, and experience it not as a fairy tale or children's story, but as a real story that happened to real people.
Merry Christmas everyone, and I pray God blesses you and your families!
We break down Psalm 78, and look at the Israelites journey through the desert whilst they wait for the Promised Land and struggle with their faith with God. We draw a connection to our own Promised Lands and the journey with God in our own deserts.
Are you in a season of struggling to hear from God? Are you doing all the right things and yet still can't feel him or hear His voice? We talk about two things that might be impacting your ability to talk with Him.
We talk with worship leader Jack Black (Goodlife Church) about how to lead a congregation into the presence of God, his journey in cultivating his gift and purpose, and advice for people who feel called to lead worship.
A question that plagues the minds of so many people around the world. Why, if God is real, do we see bad things happen? Why would he allow pain and suffering? Even as a Christian, we can sometimes challenge God and question why, if he loved us, would he allow things to happen to us.
Let's unpack this question together to gain a deeper understanding on the mind of God and his Eternal perspective
We continue talking about Attachment Styles and the theory of attachment in this episode, where we discuss the psychological theory of circle of security and what a secure base is. Learn about how a relationship with God is designed to heal our attachment wounds and better teach us how to relate to others
Our attachment styles subconsciously dictate the way we relate to God. Perceiving distance, judgement, fear that He will leave us or a lack of trust towards God are all characteristics of different attachment styles. By learning about and better understanding our personal way of attaching and relating to others we can learn how to have a secure and functional attachment with God, and how to heal our attachment style towards others.
God gave me a prophecy about Coronavirus?! In this episode we go in to the prophecies and words around the world that God has given to myself and countless others surrounding Coronavirus and the times we are living right now !
This is a time of Harvest! A time where people are flocking online searching for a deeper meaning to what is happening than what the world can tell them. This is a time that we can impact our world in a way that we haven't been able to for hundreds of years- a time of a new revival, a time where people come to church and have their lives changes by the revelation of God.
God has told us this time is coming, and has forewarned us not to miss the harvest that is now
For those of us who are leaders or pastors in a church, sometimes it feels like being a leader comes with a heavy burden and we struggle to know how to lead or whether the way we are leading is the right way. For others of us, we are believing for family, friends or people around us to come to know God, or praying for those who have walked away from God to return to him. In today's episode we break all of this down. We talk about the idea of sheep that are lost or wandering, what is the difference between being lost and wandering, and how do we bring them back? By looking at Ezekial 34 and John 10, we also find how God says we can be good Shepherds of his people, and how we can strengthen and encourage those around us.
In this honest and raw interview, we talk with Asher Bueno whose journey with God has gone through periods of both obedience and walking away from God. Asher talks about what led him to make the decision to live a life on his own terms, and how the people around him were key in leading him back to Christ. Together we discuss what surrender and faith actually means, the importance of knowing our identities in Christ, and how God is always pursuing us regardless of our sin.
This week we continue on the theme of Repentance and Forgiveness, this time looking to the book of Jeremiah where God is speaking to Jeremiah about the heart of his people. We see God's decision to punish the sins of Israel and Judah, but his everlasting compassion and heart towards them despite it all. Can you believe that our God simply wants our repentance and surrender in order to take away all punishment against us?
When King David sins against God, we see not only the passage of repentence for our sins, but the examples of God's merciful and loving nature towards us even in the midst of punishment. Despite our sins and flaws, when we come to God with repentence and sorrow for our sins, he welcomes us with open arms.
The episode breaks down how David responds to God's grace, and the way we can build an everlasting memorial of God's loving nature towards us.
In this episode we talk about how music can not only help us build intimacy with God, but the powerful impact it has on bringing others in to His presence. Looking at the Psalms, we discuss how our worship and praise does not always have to portray the positives of our life, but that God wants our surrender and devotion to Him, and how to bring his presence to the atmosphere around us.
Are you feeling distant from God? Are you finding it hard to hear his voice, or feel his discernment in certain situations? This podcast goes through how to keep building relationship with God during these times, how to know his thoughts and follow his guidance when you can't hear his voice and how to overcome this period of difficulty in the relationship.
We can strive to make things work, to receive blessing and be fruitful in our lives, and yet still only see failure. In this episode, we talk through the difference between striving and abiding in God, how God calls us to rest in him, and why we can work so hard towards something and yet never accomplish anything. The key to being fruitful is not working harder, but to rest and abide in Him, allowing Him to shape and prune our lives.
It's a dark and uncertain time for all now. With COVID-19 cases rising everyday, all across the world we are seeing a spirit of fear, anxiety, uncertainty take over. Now is the time to dig in to God, to lean on Him for strength, to be a light in the world, and to support and care for those around us.
Does this sound familiar? "I'm just not good enough" "No one will ever love me" "I'm all alone". These phrases are called Core Beliefs, and today's episode will talk about how our Core Beliefs are Lies. The foundational thoughts of what we hold true in our lives are nothing more than lies based in trauma and our upbringings. Going through some of the most common core beliefs, we discuss scripture that directly refutes these false beliefs, and gives you the power to overcome them and understand what is true about who you are and God's plan for your life.
Many people might want to ask the question- How do I spend time with God? What is that supposed to look like? How, when and where I spend time with God in my day, how do I fit in God into a busy schedule and what do I read? This podcast answers all those questions and discusses how spending time with God should become a sustainable habit in order to be most effective.
"The Devil comes to steal, kill and destroy." What does that look like in our modern world? How can we recognise when things that come into our lives are from the Devil or not ? How can we build resilience to remain firm in our knowledge of what is righteous and obedient to God?
Emma Jane shares powerful lessons she has learnt about the ways the Devil will attempt to manipulate us, and how we can withstand and overcome him.
Join Emma Jane and Lachlan as they discuss Intimacy with Christ. What is intimacy? How do we gain intimacy when we feel we can't feel his presence or hear his voice? How does intimacy impact both our lives and the lives of those around us? All these questions and more, this episode will definitely inspire you to seek Christ on a brand new level.
Our identities in Christ is not just to be Peacemakers, but Peacekeepers. Join Emma Jane as she breaks down the ways that we can inject peace into our lives and the lives of those around us.
Ever felt like you're not brave enough, strong enough, good enough? Ever felt like you couldn't do something because you weren't extroverted enough or not a natural leader? Today's episode is breaking down the thoughts and labels behind saying "that's just not me". Will we allow society or God to tell us about our identity and who we are called to be?
Calling all creatives! Have you ever wondered how what we do, whether it be writing, designing, music, photography or any other kind of art, can actually be worship? How has God gifted us and enabled us to impact the world with our creativity, and how can we worship God through what we do? Join Emma Jane as she interviews artist Micah Harris and discusses how our creativity can be an expression of worship.
Ever wondered why you can't hear from God? Ever felt like you don't know how to hear from Him or what His voice sounds like? In today's episode we unpack different ways we can hear from God, from the stereotypical loud booming voice, to the quiet whisper, prophetic dreams, and everything in between.
If you liked this week's episode be sure to leave a rating and share this episode with others!
When God gives you blessings in your life- RUN TOWARDS THEM. Don't stand by waiting to receive when what you want could be knocking right on the door. Today's episode talks about the faith needed to reach out, grab your blessings, and letting them speak for themselves in your life. Don't try and convice people of your blessings, receive them.
The Seeking Truth Podcast with Emma Jane. Settle down this week as we go deep in to discussion about codependency. What is it? How do we recognise it? And how do we overcome it?

How can we trust God when we are confused about our purpose in life or the direction we are going? How can we trust Him when he asks us to do something that seems impossible, or that we don't really want to do? This episode talks about how trusting God in both the mountains and the valleys of life will always lead us down the right path; even when we can't see the ending.
