Welcome to the So Damn Productive Podcast. I'm your host Armaan Khendry, and on this show we interview the most productive of folk in India and ask them how the (bleep) they do it. đ
Today, we had Satej Sirur on the show. He's the founder of Rocketium, they are building design software for modern growth marketing teams.
On this episode, we spoke about the value of creative work. We often get advice like "work harder" or "never stop the hustle", but that advice is vague and not helpful at all. Infact, it might be harmful.
We tend to work ourselves continually the point of burn out. How do you produce high quality work if you feel terrible?
You can't. And in our conversation, Satej shares with us his philosophy on producing great work. Trust me, this advice is much better than "work harder"
I really hope you enjoy this episode as much as I loved recording it!

Hello Friends, Welcome to the So Damn Productive Podcast.
Are you ready to get your mind filled with a productive shit dude? Well, that's good because on this pod we talk to some of the most successful people in India and ask them how the hell they do it.
Today, I am joined by Eisha Chopra. She's an actress, You might know her from hits such as "Neerja & Official CEO Giri". But I think her new claim to fame will be from appearing on this pod. What do you guys think??
We talked about so much on this pod but mainly focused on her mental framework for dealing with rejection in the real world and how she prepares for auditions. This conversation is practical, there's no " we can all achieve our dreams BS." It's a guide on how to make it in an intensely competitive field.
I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
Subscribe to the pod if you enjoy this typa shit.

India's Most Productive Podcast.
If you're a long time listener, you may have noticed we recently had a Re-Brand.
We've moved from The Next Move -> So Damn Productive.
The goal of So Damn Productive is to interview India's greatest overachievers and extract the exact habits and routines that got them to where they are.
We will be conducting 2 Interviews a month with folks such as Cyrus Sahukar, Kubbra Sait, Capt Raghu Raman, Miss Malini Agarwal, Nir Eyal and so many more.
If you're looking to be the most productive version of yourself, this is the podcast for you. Looking forward to getting on this journey with you :)

Edited and Produced by Rohan Singhal
Today I'm joined by the one and only Kubbra Sait. She's an actor and you probably know her for playing Kukoo on Sacred Games. Also in her past life, she was also one of India's most prominent anchors.
I think you're going to love this podcast because Kubbra is seriously just one of us. Her story is literally our story. She started as an employee at Microsoft, decided she hated the corporate world and made the bold move to leave everything and move to Bombay.
In this podcast we dive deep into exactly how she made became a household name from out of nowhere. We talk about her habits that allow her to work 7 days a week / 365 days a year. We talk about how she performs on the days when she doesn't feel so good. We talk about what it takes to make it.
Follow Kubbra on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kubbrasait/
Also dude or dudette, let's talk. Email me at armaankhendry14@gmail for anything!
Cyrus Sahukar joined the show. This conversation was an incredible mix of goofy and intensely thought provoking.
We spoke about how it's actually easier to get shit done rather than spend time in creative thought and how to manage the anxieties that we all face.
Cyrus might be one of the most genuinely nice people that I have the chance to have on the show (except when he tells me to go fuck myself... listen to the show to find out why đ)

Use Upwork to Hire a Virtual Assistant: www.upwork.com - Create a 'Client' Profile and Get Started!
If you find yourself doing a ton of low value data work that doesn't move the needle in your business or work, you need a VA. Half of our lives get lost in mind numbing work - Research, Data Entry, Emails. Imagine if you outsourced that and had that time for yourself. A Virtual Assistant is generally a freelancer that specialises in doing the work that you don't want to do. There are virtual assistants for content writing, calendar scheduling, data entry, any type of research. Literally anything you could imagine, you can do with a VA.
3 Reasons
Use your time more effectively a. if your life is full of work that "you shouldn't be doing". Don't. For example, for my podcast I do a lot of research into what guests to have on the show. It used to take me 5 hours a week. That hassle is now gone. That's 5 hours to focus elsewhere. b. You have to value your time and value the type of work you can achieve with that time. For example, recording an interview is a $50 per hour item. But researching who to get on, I value that much much less. It's all based on what moves your business or project forward.
Work while you sleep or vacation a. You never have to feel guilty about sleeping in on going on vacation. Because your business is always moving forward. b. They can continue to work while you take time off
Learn how to manage teams and improve your communication a. If you haven't managed people before, you will get a true view in what it's like to have employees under you and how to manage properly b. The biggest thing I've taken away is how to explain assignments clearly and concisely. This is a huge skill
Final Tips
Finally, I love upwork the most. I've tried all and I have found the best talent here and the ease of use of the platform is amazing.
Set a budget and stick to it. Don't go overboard. It's easy to put a CC in and forget. Manage hours and time effectively
Don't give tasks to the VA's for the sake of it. Take time to think about why you're giving them that task and why it will be helpful and move your business forward.
I highly recommend VA's. Streamline your life and learn to manage people. Absolutely no downside

Are you actually ruining your productivity by putting in such long hours? Â We may think and feel weâre doing more, but I often question if those hours are just a way to stroke ego as opposed to actually making progress. Â
Today, I spoke with @Yatin Thakur, who has been a serial entrepreneur since he was 16, most recently founding Coworkin, which is a Co-Working space that has housed the likes of Ritesh Agarwal (Founder of OYO) and the founders of Urban Clap.Â
Yatin only works 7 months out of the year and he takes the other 5 off. He works 6 hours a day and 16, but has managed to build several successful ventures with this schedule. Â Â How? Find out in the podcast! Â

What is it like to start your own venture? How do you handle the stress, late nights and 7 day weeks that go into building a startup? @Ragini Das, who is a co-founder of leap.club, was founded 10 months ago. And she and her team are in the midst of answering these questions. In our conversation, we dive deep into finding something you love, ways to prioritise and set your own objectives and how to deal with the inevitable burnout that comes with the midnight grind. If youâre pondering the thought of starting something, and want a real look into what it takes, this podcast is for you.
Cheat Sheet:
Make sure to have time for yourself. Ragini takes 2 hours in the morning everyday for her own mental and physical health. For her it is exercise, watering her plants and listening to music. What would make you feel like you're on the front foot for the day?
To build consistency, she wakes up around the same time every single day. It's 630am for her, but you can pick any time, just stick to it. Usually, this is best done by picking the best time to go to bed to make sure you are getting 8 hours of sleep - See Shayamal podcast
Ragini writes every single thing down. Reminders to drink water, calling loved ones and every single piece of work that needs to get done so it's not forgotten
If you're going to start something, dedicate the next 10 years of your life to it. Starting with the hope of selling is a mistake.

Someone once told me that if youâre going to try something new, the endeavor has to do 2 things. Â Â It must be an opportunity for you to acquire more knowledge. Â And, it must leave you with more positive relationships than you had before. Â Because if you have those 2 things in place, even if your new venture completely fails, you will have gained from the experience. Â The podcast certainly checks these boxes for me. Â Â In this episode, I moved away from my usual interviews and am sharing the top 5 things Iâve learned from my podcast. Â Â

Email Finder Tool - Clearbit (Free Chrome Extension) https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/clearbit-connect-supercha/pmnhcgfcafcnkbengdcanjablaabjplo?hl=en
Travel / Work Cheat Sheet:
Find specific jobs at US and Europe based startups that you could apply to based on your skillset. https://angel.co/ is a great place to start
Once you have a list of 10 startups, start examining exactly how you could help each one of their business. Create a detailed proposal of: What they are doing well, things you would improve, and exactly how you would execute
Find the emails of the FOUNDERS. Itâs important to get in touch with the founders specifically. They make the decisions. Use a tool like Clearbit (link above) to find their email ids.
Curate a very specific email to each founder. The body of the email should contain the job opening youâre emailing for, and a summary for your in-depth proposal that you completed in part 2.
Send the email and hope for the best. Trust me, they reply more often than not. Donât go down the copy and paste the same message to 1000 founders, nobody likes that guy or girl.

hat I love about his story was how inevitable it was for him to be successful on the platform. He wasnât just putting up videos and hoping for the best, each action was planned and deliberate (with a lot of research to back up what he was doing). Â

50% of India works directly in farming and farmers are poorly equipped to deal with the challenges that climate change and population growth are causing the needs of their crop yields. This in turn, is making it challenging for farmers to get the necessary funding for banks, which then is leading to the saddening issue of Farmer Suicides.
