Hello! I'm the Old Man. Temporary Insanity is my podcast about various topics golden years of Christian Rock and pop culture (i.e. the late Eighties and early Nineties), religion, spirituality, theology, video games... pretty much whatever catches my fancy at the moment. This week I talk about consent. It's great. It's necessary. But I think it's the bare minimum we should be doing for each other. What's better than consent? I humbly suggest that maybe we should start treating each other better. Everyone, everywhere. Like some freaking hippie.

We're back! Sorry about the gap in episodes. I had some things happen which I talk about on this very episode. How does one deal with the death of a loved one? Or even a "sorta" loved one? What does Mass Effect have to do with that? I can't say for certain, but I somehow find a way to run my mouth about it.
Not long after I got the recorder my wife wanted to try it out so we took it on our weekly grocery visit. This podcast episode was the result. It's a short break from the usual topic...y'know...just for fun. We talk about a myriad of topics not limited to: ASMR, the worst microwave dinners, having the luxury of being a teenager, marriage and whatever random things we can think of!

In today's episode I take a look back to my teenage years and reminisce how simple faith was then. Was what I believed then easier or harder than now? How does faith change as you get older? I hope you enjoy this most rambley of podcasts!
What keeps people in the Christian faith? What makes them leave? I have no idea but that doesn't stop me from running my mouth. On this week's episode I talk about Roger Martinez, vocalist for Vengeance Rising and one of my former "Christian Metal Heroes" turned atheist. While much has been said about the man and his de-conversion, I talk more about the effect on me as a fan and explore deeper questions about faith and what sustains it.
