It's on to Buffalo for the Patriots for their wildcard playoff game against the Bills. Are you worried about the Pats' chances with a rookie QB, Mac Jones? Bob wants to know if you'd prefer Jimmy Garoppolo or Mac Jones? Hmmm. They did have a chance to keep a pretty good quarterback, but chose to move on. LOL
BTW. Has anyone noticed the surging Boston Bruins? Lobel doesn't care. Lynchie is focused on the Patriots. Hank is obsessed with them right now, even though we're three months from the playoffs. Brad Marchand is a 5/9", 180 pound BEAST! #OurBestFoods #OurBestMeatbals

Is rookie QB Mac Jones rattled because Bill Belichick took the ball out of his hands in the win in Buffalo? Is he hurt? Where has JC Jackson disappeared to? What happened to their top ranked defense?
Also, did you see Belichick's post game answer to the "New Year's resolution" question? He handled it well. What about the reporter who asked the question? Was it a stupid question? The Christmas edition of the podcast features the guys talking about their favorite gifts when they were kids, but before that they discussed the Patriots debacle against the Colts, Bill Belichick apologizing to the media, Tom Brady's meltdowns and Bob Lobel's reindeer suit! Enjoy! Merry Christmas to all!!! Our Best Foods #ourbestmeatballs
Here's an early Christmas gift for sports fans! Legendary Boston Globe sports columnist Dan Shaughnessy joins Bob, Mike and Hank to talk about his new book, "Wish It Lasted Forever: Life With The Larry Bird Celtics"! Dan talked about traveling with the team as a beat writer in the 1980's, the relationships he developed with the players, coaches and front office executives, as well as the difficulty that comes along with the job when things aren't going that well with the team. You'll hear about some never before told stories including how Larry Bird dealt with Dan after he reported on Larry's bar fight during the playoffs in 1985.
The guys also discussed which of the Celtics team they'd like to take with them on a cross country road trip. You might be surprised with some of their answers. Finally, they talked about the Patriots' four remaining regular season games and where they expect them to be after the 17 game regular season wraps up on January 9th.
Bill Belichick told the Buffalo Bills he was going to run the ball down their throats and the Patriots did! Wow! Was the Pats' 14-10 win in Buffalo the most impressive of Belichick's New England career? Are you worried that Mac Jones' ego might be bruised a little after he threw just three passes? Bob Lobel Mike Lynch WCVB and Hank Morse off their perspectives on one of the most unusual football games we've seen in a long time! Our Best Foods #ourbestmeatballs
The Patriots have won six straight games. Is it time to think of them as Super Bowl contenders? Is there a team in the AFC that you fear? Mac Jones and his winning pedigree is meshing well with The Hoodie, the great maestro, Bill Belichick. Is this defense the best you've seen in the last 10 years? Wow, JC Jackson is impressive in the secondary and veteran Devin McCourty is playing at a very high level.
Let's talk a little baseball. The Mets just signed all star pitcher, Max Scherzer, to a 3 year, $130 million deal. He's 37. Are the Red Sox days of landing big free agents over, especially since the Fenway Sports Group just bought the Pittsburgh Penguins. Doesn't it now seem like the Sox effectively traded Mookie Betts for Sydney Crosby?
Oh, then there's the story about the time Bob Lobel got kicked out of a NYC bar for taunting! It's true! #Ourbestfoods #Ourbestmeatballs
It's Thanksgiving week and Bob Lobel Mike Lynch WCVB and Hank Morse talk about the meaning of high school football on Thanksgiving Day in MA! Mike and Bob also talk about covering high school football for TV and the labor of love that took to get it done. It meant so much to high school kids in MA for decades.
They also talked about the Patriots five game winning streak and their playoff run, where Mac Jones is vs. Tom Brady at the same point in his career AND the debate over Big Papi and ARod for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving! We give thanks for all of you!!!! Our Best Foods #ourbestmeatballs
The Patriots put the SMac down on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, as in, Mac Jones played his best game as a pro, as the Pats rolled over Baker Mayfield et all, 45-7! The Patriots' rookie QB has coach Bill Belichick looking good again and some people think the Brady vs. Belichick discussion is getting tighter again, what with TB12's Buccaneers dropping their last two games.
The guys also talked about some of the greatest quotes by players, coaches and personalities involved in Boston sports over the years. Remember when Oil Can Boyd thought the Indians played in Cleveland on the ocean? Or when Bill Parcells referred to Terry Glenn as "she"?
The Patriots are in playoff contention! Is Bill Belichick climbing the hill when it comes to the Brady v. Belichick discussion? Wow! Aaron Rodgers looks like a bit of a donkey because of his lack of transparency about being vaccinated.

You can see it in our video version of the podcast. Also, WHY does Belichick treat the media so poorly? He was at his worst after Sunday's 24-21 loss in Buffalo and embarrassed a reporter who asked a question everyone knew the answer to. Jim Rice was famous for smoking guys in interviews and Hank talks about the time Rice got him in 1986. OK. Where are you on the Brady vs Belichick argument after week three?

Imagine if they were playing a full 162? They also talked about whether or not the Bruins will re-sign Zdeno Chara, the Celtics quiet playoff run that could see them in the NBA finals, and the two teams competing for the hearts of pro football fans in New England: the Patriots and Buccaneers!!! Lynchie was at his house in Winchester, Hank was in Medford and Lobey was at an undisclosed WARM location with palm trees and no shoveling required! Bob thinks Tom Brady isn't very grateful for what he has and he's sick of Gronk's act. Lynchie still thinks the Patriots can handle the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs and doesn't think there is anything wrong with Brady yelling and screaming at his teammates. He says Larry Bird used to do the same thing! Hank wants to know what the NHL and NBA need to do to make their regular season games more exciting!
