Modern Samurai Podcast explores "Samurai Thinking," tactics practiced by Japanese warriors for 1,200 years. The Samurai endeavoured to have Shoshin, a beginner's mindset, and improve mental focus (Fudoshin). The warriors were singularly focussed, constantly refining and improving their swordsmanship and learning to be calm under pressure in battle by clearing their minds of distracting emotions (Mushin).
The Executive Budo ("Boo Doe", Martial Way) Strategy & Mindset program teaches "Samurai thinking," warrior strategies that are equally valuable in the modern world for executives entrepreneurs, artists, influencers, experts and business owners.
The battleground may have changed and the weapons used are not Japanese Katana, but make no mistake, the stakes are equally high. There will be winners and losers in the new digital economy. The tectonic shifts accelerated by the pandemic will topple entire industries in favour of those most adaptable to change.
Competition is global, and speed, precision, and efficiency are the calling cards of entrepreneurs and global influencers. Samurai thinking in the digital world means constantly refining technology tools and tactics to create frictionless technology solutions that are simple, intuitive and effortless to use.
The most efficient and elegant solutions emerge when there's nothing left to remove. It’s a process, a journey, a deliberate intention from tech chaos to order, complex to simple, many to one. Adopting an eBudo mindset means an evolution focused on continually improving the user experience for your clients so they can focus on their core competency, their Brilliance, their Superpower, the work they were born to do.
What does it mean to be Samurai today? "If Samurai are to be defined today, it has nothing to do with blood heritage of the past, nothing to do with gender, physical characteristics, or national origins" (Quote from Dr. Tessin Hamada, Hanshi Master, Chair of the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai, International Division, Kyoto, Japan)
To be a Modern Samurai is to strive to be a better person than you were in every way possible, to live a life of honour that challenges you to be your best. To be Samurai is to build a life that excites you, and forces you to grow. To have an eBudo mindset of contribution, community and service to others for the betterment of the individual, the community, the nation, and the world.
A Modern Samurai understands the ultimate value of the Samurai code of Bushido in the modern world, Shinshin to Seishin o hitotsu ni. The unwavering pursuit of harmony and balance. Mind, body, and spirit as one. This is the core of the eBudo philosophy, martial thinking for the modern world. Be a Modern Samurai. Design Your Future.
