Jesus Is: The Way, The Truth, And The Life
Scripture: John 14:6
READ: John 14:1-11

THE WAY – hood-os' the, road --- Metaphorically,
THE TRUTH – a -lay'-thee-a – not concealed --- other places truth is used it is Amen (aw-mane)
THE LIFE – zóé –-- life you have zóon which means animal life (as in the Zoo) life, both of physical (present) and of spiritual (particularly future) existence. z?? – life (physical and spiritual). All life (2222 /z??), always and (only) comes from and is sustained by God'.

SO Jesus is:
1. The Way – to be like Him is the only way to get to Heaven
2) The Truth or Reality – He is whether you agree or not.
3) The Life – the only way to experience anything in life worth experiencing is to to be brought to life for the first time.
SEE, YOU CAN BE ALIVE AND NOT REALLY LIVING!
THE ONLY WAY TO FREE FROM THE STENCH OF DEATH IS TO BE IN CHRIST

Jesus Is: The Door of the Sheep
Scripture: John 10:1-10

CONSIDER:
1 Jesus is the passage of admission to Heaven.
Ephesians 2:18 For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Jesus is the absolute Provider and Proprietor of these blessings.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Romans 5:2 By Jesus we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

Jesus is the Guardian of these blessings.
Acts 7:45(go there)
Joshua 5:10-15 (go there)

So what?
Matthew 7:13-14 says There are thousands in search for the door and cannot find it.

1) ALL is Forgiven Except Unbelief (the Spirit’s Work)

Mark 3:28-30 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies…...

2) Satan Entered Judas, This Was Satan’s Work

Luke 4:1-13 ---- Temptations were hedonism (hunger / satisfaction), egoism (spectacular throw / might) and materialism (kingdoms / wealth)

3) Luke 18:31-34 --- Jesus Told Them Flat Out

John 12:1-6 (Mark 14:5) --- Anointing
John 10:37-40
John 8:20
Luke 18:31-34 --- Jesus Told Them Flat Out
John 7:28-33 Walked Right through them

Jesus Is: The Resurrection And The Life
Scripture: John 11:16-44

Lazarus is also known in the Gospels as “Simon the Leper” it is likely the Leprosy is in fact what killed him. He had two sisters Mary and Martha, (Matthew 26:6) it describes Jesus being at his house within the week of Passover, which means he did not have Leprosy at that time, because you had to be clean for 40 days after touching a leper.

Jesus Is: The True Vine
Scripture: John 15:1
READ: John 15

THE TRUE VINE
TRUE – Alethia –well in this here it is alethine Adjective-NomitiveFirstPersonSingular, but you don’t need to know that…. from last week, alaithia means Reality, or Ideal as in a perfect reality…..
VINE --- ámpelos ("vine") is also used symbolically of Christless Judaism and apostate Christianity (Rev 14:18,10), i.e. the (external) religious body of people which merely pretends to bear fruit but is in fact fruitless. Only Christ Himself is the true Vine, in whom the people of God are formed…

*Romans 11:11-28 ---- *

We are to receive Jesus altogether. It will not do to take what we like and reject what we don’t like.
There must be constant communion. This is the first act of real prayer. No Communion means a prayerless life, which means a life without Christ WORKING in it, a life without Christ working will lead to a life without consistent faith, On such a branch the husbandman (God the Father) looks with suspicion. Does He give the fullness to the one who isn’t fully invested?

Matthew 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”---- teleios --- complete the cycle
My challenge to you is to be in Constant Communion with Jesus this week.

Jesus Is: The Light of the World

Scripture: John 8:12-37

1) Believe Jesus -  imperfect faith is all that Jesus asks for..... believe Him.

2) Believe on Jesus - in the words of Isaiah, 'Behold, I lay in Zion a stone, a sure Foundation'; and, as the Apostle Peter comments, 'He that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.'

3) Believe into Jesus - Into Jesus, think Growth, growing into Jesus, progress, progressing into Jesus, getting nearer and nearer to Christ, yearning more and more with desire for Him! To be close, to understand Him, TO BE LIKE HIM.

Ego Eimi means "I Am" in Greek
Jesus Is: The Bread of Life
Scripture: John 6:35 (John 6:22-69)

Absolute “I AM” statements: John 6:20; 8:24, 28, 58; 18:5

John 6:20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

John 18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Bread is NECESSARY food. Other things may be dispensed with, but all need bread, All need it — old and young, weak and strong. We NEED IT DAILY and Hunger a Sign of Health.

One of the worst things the modern church/christianity has turned into is a reactionary animal! PAUL told us to be trend setters. He said to basically ignore what everyone else is doing, do our own thing, live in the world but be not of it. Don’t tell them they are evil and going to hell, show them how much better the peace and love of Jesus is in your life. Live Well! And make them jealous, make them WANT what you have.

Usually referred to as "The Love Chapter" 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is in fact about Love, true unselfish Love that the translators of the King James correctly chose to call "Charity". And the love, or charity that is spoken of is not intended as a tretise on how to treat your spouse, though it is a good idea to use it that way.No, in fact, 1 Corinthians 13 is intended to tell us how we should deal with EVERYONE, especially fellow Believers, but ultimately it is not impressive how you treat those who treat you well, and love you already. The true test of character is how you treat those who don't care, can't help you, or worse, actively hate you.Click for ScriptureWatch on Facebook

January 7th, 2018 from Campton, Ky The Christian Nomad brings a message on how #Jesus was called a lot of things, and called Himself a lot of things.
But perhaps the most amazing of all is something He never called Himself, "Lord of the Demons" He in fact is Lord Of ALL Things. And while they called Him Beelzebub (Lord of the Flies) another name for Satan, He is not Satan, but even Satan is subject to Him.

Today we take a look at the First Epistle of John, also known as the First Letter of John, and look at how John continues his letter against gnostic teachings by ramping up the language about the commandments of God, and gives a sort of test for us to use as a self "Heart Check" to see if we do in fact know Christ, and if we are following Him as we should. John reminds us not to love the world. Avoid deceptions by staying true to Jesus' words. And to abide in the one who saved us.
