Jesus Is: The Way, The Truth, And The Life

THE WAY – hood-os' the, road --- Metaphorically,
THE TRUTH – a -lay'-thee-a – not concealed --- other places truth is used it is Amen (aw-mane)
THE LIFE – zóé –-- life you have zóon which means animal life (as in the Zoo) life, both of physical (present) and of spiritual (particularly future) existence. z?? – life (physical and spiritual). All life (2222 /z??), always and (only) comes from and is sustained by God'.
SO Jesus is:
1. The Way – to be like Him is the only way to get to Heaven
2) The Truth or Reality – He is whether you agree or not.
3) The Life – the only way to experience anything in life worth experiencing is to to be brought to life for the first time.
SEE, YOU CAN BE ALIVE AND NOT REALLY LIVING!
THE ONLY WAY TO FREE FROM THE STENCH OF DEATH IS TO BE IN CHRIST

Jesus Is: The Door of the Sheep

CONSIDER:
1 Jesus is the passage of admission to Heaven.
Ephesians 2:18 For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Jesus is the absolute Provider and Proprietor of these blessings.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Romans 5:2 By Jesus we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Jesus is the Guardian of these blessings.

3 WAYS people misunderstand this
1. Judas committed Suicide that is unforgivable
2. Judas betrayed Jesus – Judas had to go to hell.
3. Judas didn’t believe in Jesus so he couldn’t be saved
1) ALL is Forgiven Except Unbelief (the Spirit’s Work)

Lazarus is also known in the Gospels as “Simon the Leper” it is likely the Leprosy is in fact what killed him. He had two sisters Mary and Martha, (Matthew 26:6) it describes Jesus being at his house within the week of Passover, which means he did not have Leprosy at that time, because you had to be clean for 40 days after touching a leper.

VINE --- ámpelos ("vine") is also used symbolically of Christless Judaism and apostate Christianity (Rev 14:18,10), i.e. the (external) religious body of people which merely pretends to bear fruit but is in fact fruitless. Only Christ Himself is the true Vine, in whom the people of God are formed…

We are to receive Jesus altogether. It will not do to take what we like and reject what we don’t like.
There must be constant communion. This is the first act of real prayer. No Communion means a prayerless life, which means a life without Christ WORKING in it, a life without Christ working will lead to a life without consistent faith, On such a branch the husbandman (God the Father) looks with suspicion. Does He give the fullness to the one who isn’t fully invested?
Matthew 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”---- teleios --- complete the cycle

One of the worst things the modern church/christianity has turned into is a reactionary animal! PAUL told us to be trend setters. He said to basically ignore what everyone else is doing, do our own thing, live in the world but be not of it. The Reprobate Doctrine is a belief that those "practicing sins" or more specifically CERTAIN sins, basically its a thinly veiled slam on homosexuality. Usually referred to as "The Love Chapter" 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is in fact about Love, true unselfish Love that the translators of the King James correctly chose to call "Charity". And the love, or charity that is spoken of is not intended as a tretise on how to treat your spouse, though it is a good idea to use it that way.No, in fact, 1 Corinthians 13 is intended to tell us how we should deal with EVERYONE, especially fellow Believers, but ultimately it is not impressive how you treat those who treat you well, and love you already.The true test of character is how you treat those who don't care, can't help you, or worse, actively hate you.Click for ScriptureWatch on Facebook

But perhaps the most amazing of all is something He never called Himself, "Lord of the Demons" He in fact is Lord Of ALL Things. And while they called Him Beelzebub (Lord of the Flies) another name for Satan, He is not Satan, but even Satan is subject to Him.

Today we take a look at the First Epistle of John, also known as the First Letter of John, and look at how John continues his letter against gnostic teachings by ramping up the language about the commandments of God, and gives a sort of test for us to use as a self "Heart Check" to see if we do in fact know Christ, and if we are following Him as we should. John reminds us not to love the world. Avoid deceptions by staying true to Jesus' words. And to abide in the one who saved us.

Today for the 3rd part of the Portraits of Faith Christmas Series we are taking a look at Mary, and putting ourselves into her place. Not just this whimsical, magical, fantasy world idea where she is confused but positive. We look at how UNFAIR it was to her for God to put her into that situation. We are going to go back and consider the fear, and sadness, that must have come as a result of this unexpected pregnancy to a young teenage girl. But also the inspiration and hope she received from a loving friend!

This is a major issue with the church and it leads to date setting, which we are told not to do.
And while it might sound like I’m being mean to John Hagee, I am not, I am just using him as the most obvious figure. I believe Hagee believes what he is saying, I also believe he is wrong. But this is not a Salvation issue, Hagee is still my brother-in-Christ.

Wednesday Bible Study on the Epistle to the Galatians: chapter 3 contains some of the toughest scriptures in the entire Bible, so hold on, it gets rough. Also in chapter 3 is the premise that the Torah (Law) was given to be a teacher of our sins, and it was just a temporary holding until Christ would be born. And I share the premise that the Torah in fact embodied Christ himself, and that The Parable of the Wicked Tenants is in fact showing how the Hebrews (tenants) treated the Law (servant)! check it out....
