Catherine has deep personal connection to storytelling and a PhD in Mythological Studies and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She combines her academic expertise with an intuitive sense of the poetic and practical gifts found in the old myths and fairy tales.Dr. Svehla is based in Joshua Tree, California and draws inspiration from the mystical Mojave desert. Myth in the Mojave began as a weekly program for the online radio station, Radio Free Joshua Tree, and subsequently evolved into an independent, bi-weekly project of Catherine’s.
