Through personal experience I have realized the power of prayer. Prayer is a powerful, virtually untapped resource in a believer’s life. Take this journey with me to unleash life changing prayer in your life.
If you’re a regular listener of this podcast, you may have wondered why I’ve been off the air for the last month. Today I’m going to talk about what happened.
If you don’t pray, you’re not searching for a personal relationship with God, if you don’t stay with him for long periods in order to know him, study him, your memory what we can, you will no longer recognize him. You will not be able to, because you will no longer know how to love. Have you been not praying, not seeking him personally because you don’t love him or because you have no time?.
One of the most exciting results of prayer happens when God‘s power is released in our lives. Andrew Murray strongly believed that the “devil’s greatest tool is to keep the believer from praying.” Think about that. If your enemy knew you had a very effective and powerful weapon for winning battles, wouldn’t it make sense for him to distract you from using it?
The most difficult aspect of prayer is waiting on God to answer us. How we wait on His timing says a lot about the depth of our trust in Him.
The practice of daily, regular Bible reading combined with two way conversation with the Lord develops and unwavering, lasting, firm faith. Prayer and the word of God unlock the doors that we long to see open. They should not be considered individual elements of a Christians life; they should be thought of as two parts of one element. A deeper walk with God emerges when the word is constantly blended with prayer in a believers life
We tell ourselves that if we had a strong faith, we could walk through life much more confidently and faithfully and much less emotionally. Is there any hope for us?
The closest we come to feeling like a disciple of the Lord is when we spend time talking, laughing, crying, complaining, pleading with God, listening to Him, then allowing Him to correct, comfort, exhort, and direct us. If I told you that my goal when I began to pray every day was to become a holy, Godly woman, that wouldn’t be totally honest. What led you to listen to this podcast on prayer?
A recurring theme in a lot of prayer books is persevering prayer. Perseverance brings rewards, but it is also painful and difficult to understand. If you are serious about prayer, this principle will undoubtedly weave itself into your prayer life whether you like me it or not. Are you ready to persevere in prayer until God, in his mercy, gives you answers?
God continually shows us that He is listening and is faithful. No matter the size or significance of the prayer request, our prayers are important to Him. Praying with and for others for God’s intervention creates excitement and motivation to keep on agreeing in prayer!
In many of the New Testament letters, there is encouragement to intercede for others in prayer. If you’re not an intercessory pray-er, now might be the perfect time to ask yourself “Why not?”

One of the exciting and mysterious aspects of the MESSAGE section of your prayer journal is to believe that the words, stories, and Scriptures from your pastors and teachers are from God to you. In writing them down you allow God to confirm, correct, direct, convict, or maybe even warn you. That’s why this section is so important!
Almost every day you should be able to hear God speak to you through His Word and His Spirit. The more time you spend listening to God, the easier it will be to hear and recognize His voice.

When was the last time you thanked God for a specific answer to prayer? Do you recognize His intervention or give Him credit for something wonderful that occurred rather than crediting that something to luck, chance or coincidence? When we look at life through the scope of prayer that is lifted up TO God and then answered BY God, we can eliminate the words luck, chance and coincidence from our vocabulary.
Taking the time to categorize and develop your prayer list will help you to be more effective with your prayer time. Here I will share some tips on doing just that.
The ADMIT section of our daily prayer time is essential to confessing our sins and failures to God daily. Are you uncomfortable confessing your sins to God and to others? Today we talk about how to overcome those uncomfortable feelings as Gods comforts with his love, peace and forgiveness.
