The Nintendo 3DS was an incredible handheld system that might've been a little ahead of its time. The world didn't quite know how to react to the new 3D format, but Cameron and Jake were a little underwhelmed. Which is crazy right? It was a glasses-free 3D display! Regardless, it was a freaking cool system with some of Nintendo's best games. Join us for some facts and stories, all told in 3D! (we were 3D dimensional as we recorded it, the audio, however, doesn't really take up any dimensional space.)
And by the way (if you even read this), Cameron did figure out how to put the audio in one speaker or the other, but the website we upload to switched it back to both speakers, which ruined the joke!

Hello and welcome to the very first episode of Region Unlocked! There's a lot of podcasts out there, especially about video games, but how many of them have one host in the states and the other in Japan?! Just us, (I hope)!
What you can expect: Cameron and Jake are separated by thousands of miles, but we stay connected by talking about the good ol days. The show begins with the N64, the birth of our nerd-stalgia. We have facts you didn't know, amazing stories to tell, and a lot of Jake's bad puns!

Hello friends, we are Cameron and Jake, and welcome to Region Unlocked! This podcast was started back in December of 2019 when Jake moved to Japan! We thought this would be a great way to stay connected every week while being so far apart!
As we grew up together, video games were probably the biggest thing we had in common, so it has been really fun to look back at the beginning and bond all over again with the games we so love!
This intro was recorded in June of 2021. We are very proud of what we've made here, but we will say that season one is a little rough. But we've learned a lot and continue to get better. We hope you enjoy!
