It's sale season, and Jason and Chris are trying to decide what is actually worth buying. Amazon Prime Day leads to a surprising lack of purchases, the Steam Summer Sale creates a very familiar kind of temptation, and new hardware may or may not be entering the picture. In between, Overwatch continues to make its case, while Fellowship raises a bigger question: what happens when a game gives you exactly the part you wanted, but maybe not everything else you need? Stick around after the end for a Steam Machine discussion that may turn into an expensive decision.

The Steam Deck costs $950 now, so maybe it's time for Chris to buy an Xbox ROG Ally X. Jason's getting a racing rig. Chris got a new game and he's bad at it, and Overwatch is so back (or is it?). It's time for everyone's favorite topic - Chris' car! Then it's a shift from real cars to virtual ones because Jason has played Forza Horizon 6. Finally, Overwatch is running a 10th anniversary event, and some version of Game Pass is coming to Discord Nitro.
The unthinkable happened… Jason played Overwatch and didn't hate it! We both tried to buy a Steam Controller, but only one of us got one. Finally, some closure to Chris and the Xbox ROG Ally X.

Raccoin is out, and Chris and Jason have thoughts after jumping in right away. They talk about why the game works so well on Steam Deck, how fun it is when a roguelike completely breaks in your favor, and a couple of other games now competing for their attention, including Vampire Crawlers and People of Note. They also revisit WoW to talk about where things stand with Midnight's story, then Jason shares why starting fresh in Enshrouded has reminded him just how much he loves survival crafting games, even when the genre asks for a huge time commitment. Finally, Chris makes the case for a handheld upgrade and tries to decide whether an open-box Xbox ROG Ally X is too tempting to pass up.

Chris discovers Excel Power Query and realizes he's been doing things the hard way, while both of us check in on World of Warcraft—where one of us is making steady progress and the other… has not logged in for a while. Jason shares secondhand impressions of Pokopia after watching a lot of it, and Chris talks through early impressions of Slay the Spire 2, including how it feels in early access and the balance changes causing some community noise.

Jason is close to finishing Immortals Fenyx Rising before the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion launches. The hosts discuss Blizzard's awkward Collector's Edition timing, early access plans, and the new housing system in WoW. They also react to the surprise announcement that Slay the Spire 2 will include co-op when it releases into early access.
Blizzard used the power of a free weekend to get us to play some WoW before the launch of Midnight. Chris has a new piece of hardware, and Jason's been playing a new (old) game. In the post-show, we try and fail to use a Windows 11 feature.

Jason has a new 3D printer and hasn't stopped printing for two weeks. Chris is sick and playing Deep Rock Galactic Survivor. We discuss the Xbox Developer Direct, debate Forza Horizon 6 pricing strategies, and get hyped for WoW Midnight coming in March. In the post-show, we realize both of us desperately need more shelves in our lives.

Happy Capitalism Season! Jason and Chris kick off the episode talking Black Friday hauls - Jason's obsessed with a powered cardboard cutter, and he's still on the hunt for the ultimate charging station for all his handhelds. Chris broke the two-hour rule for The Witcher 3 at $10 and grabbed the new Risk of Rain 2 DLC.
Also, The Game Awards predictions! We go through a couple of categories making picks and arguing about who deserves to win. Jason goes full fanboy over Warframe's massive update dropping December 10th AND their Game Awards announcement.
