This week's episode is our season finale. We recap and discuss the major stories from the 2023-24 season with Devin Heroux, and we follow-up with a panel discussion that includes John Cullen and Mike Fournier.
This episode focuses on the recent announcmeent that the Grand Slam of Curling was sold to a new entity called The Curling Group. I chat with Nic Sulsky, a key member of The Curling Group about their plans for the Slams moving forward and with Olympic gold medalist Marc Kennedy about what impact this new era for the Slam might have on the players.
This week, we preview the 2024 World Men's Curling Championship by interviewing Bruce Mouat and Brad Gushue who faced each other in last year's final and are both back for another crack at a championship. We also chat with the skip of a Team New Zealand that has been on an interesting curling journey this season, to say the least.

In the Season 9 premiere, we welcome David Murdoch, the new Director of High Performance at Curling Canada. We also chat with Laurie St. Georges and Felix Asselin who will represent Canada at the 2023 World Mixed Curling Championship. The duo recently won a mixed doubles event and they also have several events planned with their respective four-person teams in what will be a very busy season.

Three interviews are featured – former national team athlete and current Curling Canada staffer Nolan Thiessen, Carson Ackroyd of Tourism Calgary, and Winnipeg Free Press scribe Mike McIntyre, who attended the NHL's west bubble in Edmonton.

With most people having to stay home these days, From the Hack will be producing a series of interviews with different individuals to help that curling gap in your lives. The second guest in our series is three-time U.S. champion Jamie Sinclair. We discuss her recent free agency status, whether she’d come back to play out of Canada, we discuss the importance that personal branding has played in her curling career and we talk about what she is working on while the curling, and sporting world for that matter, is on hold.
My guest this week is Sportsnet curling analyst Mike Harris who is not only an Olympic silver medalist but a CPGA professional who covered golf at the 2016 Olympics in Rio and is scheduled to cover golf again at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Mike joined me to discuss some of the recent lineup changes in curling, we discuss Curling Canada’s birthright rule and we also talk a little golf.

Kendra Lilly was the subject of many rumoured new lineups at the end of the last Olympic cycle but she stayed in Northern Ontario with Team McCarville who have qualified for the playoffs in their last three Scotties appearances (10:47)... Lori Eddy might be best known as the co-host of the "2 Girls and a Game" podcast but she also has game. Eddy will skip Nunavut at the 2020 Scotties, 23 years after reaching the final in her only previous Scotties appearance (21:40)... Laura Walker almost didn't play this season but now, she's headed to her first Scotties as skip of Team Alberta (30:59)... Noémie Verreault and her team have been playing across Québec in relative obscurity for several years but their patience has paid off, they are headed to their first Scotties in Moose Jaw (37:23).

With the 2020 Scotties Wild Card game set for this Friday, FTH caught up with Casey Scheidegger whose team won last season's Wild Card game in Sydney, Nova Scotia. We talk about her team's adventure in simply making it to Sydney, we discuss how the team prepared for a one-off elimination game and we also discuss Wild Card teams seem to do very well in the round-robin.
